With his soulful vocals and melodic lyrics, Jason Mraz has always swooned us with his music. But it wasn't until he took to the "Dancing With the Stars" stage that he danced his way into our hearts. Mraz spoke to POPSUGAR about his time on the show, his upcoming "Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride" Tour, and his must-have products.

Despite having nearly won the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy with partner Daniella Karagach, Mraz was initially scared to dive into the art of dance. "I didn't know what I was doing but just had to start, and every week, I saw an incredible improvement," he says. "Give yourself a week and see what you can do by putting in a little bit of time every day. . . . I think that goes with not just dance, but with anything." Another key takeaway he learned from "DWTS" is the value of 60 seconds. "The first week of 'Dancing With the Stars,' our dance was 60 seconds long, and we could accomplish a lot in 60 seconds. I know now that within my show, if I break away 30 seconds here, 60 seconds here, another 60 seconds here, that's a lot of content," he says.

The "Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride" is inspired by time. "I'm going on 20-plus years of creating music, and that much time has shown me how some things come back around," Mraz says. "We're on this ride through life or this ride through time and how to recognize time, and be grateful for time, and notice that time is precious. It's our greatest wealth." With this tour, he wants the audience to live in the moment, bring their friends and family, and just have fun and create memories with the people they love.

Beyond creating music and prepping for his tour, Mraz likes to spend his time unwinding with a good latte, a puzzle like Wordle or Connections, a book, or a journal. "Sometimes I start writing in rhyme, and it suddenly becomes a song, or it's poetry, or it's a letter to a friend or a letter to my future self. I just like taking that personal care, that personal time to reflect," he says. "When you're writing, you get to feel like you're checking in with yourself."

Ahead, you can read through Mraz's current favorite products, including his go-to portable speaker, his signature latte recipe, and more.

Jason Mraz's Affordable Must Have

"I am a big fan of music and must have it everywhere I go," Mraz says, and his go-to speaker is the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 3 ($74, originally $100) due to its well-balanced sound. "The thing that I look for is that there's enough low end, because that's what balances out a sound. Oftentimes, if we listen on just our phone or laptops, it's missing the low end," he says. The speaker is dust- and water-resistant and can get submerged in water for up to 30 minutes, so you can take it to the pool, beach, hiking trail, and so much more.

"This small speaker puts out a big sound so I can keep my music going in any hotel or dressing room. I can even clip it onto my hip for when I'm gardening," Mraz says. The portable speaker offers 360-degree stereo sound with enhanced bass. It has an Outdoor Boost feature that helps deliver an amplified sound when you're in nature.

Pro Tip: If you have more than one of these speakers, you can pair them to sync together for a surround-sound feel.

Jason Mraz's Investment Must Have

"If you play music or wish to learn, I think investing in an instrument is a must for the home," Mraz says, and he recommends the Taylor Guitars Jason Mraz Signature Model (JMSM) ($3,499). "If you're a beginner, Taylor offers the wonderful Academy series, which are excellent starter guitars for a smaller investment. I prefer the Academy nylon."

Pro Tip: He also recommends the app Yousician to learn at home. "It'll show you the basics of strumming and where the chords are. They have different games that you can kind of play along to, and it knows if you're playing the right notes or not," he says.

Mraz starts his mornings with his go-to latte using the Planet Oat Barista Lovers Home Edition ($4). He brews two shots of espresso and adds in the steamed or frothed oat milk. "The Planet Oat has a really nice, steamy texture that has a hint of sweetness to it. It's just the creamiest, velvetiest," he says. He also notes that this Barista Lovers version is a great plant-based alternative for a barista-level froth that matches up to using whole milk.

Pro Tip: "I like a little spice, so I tend to put a little cardamom in my glass before I pull the shots, just to give it a little extra something," he says.

Jason Mraz's Sleep Must Have

Mraz can't go to bed without his Levoit OasisMist Smart Humidifier ($80, originally $90). "Since adding a humidifier to the bedroom, I always wake up refreshed, ready to sing," he says. This humidifier has both warm and cool mist settings, perfect for year-round use, whether you're experiencing dry summer heat or cold winter air. He also likes to use essential oils to enhance his experience, like lemongrass for energizing his space or Sleep by Garden of Life for a more mellowed-out vibe.

Pro Tip: He also uses the Vivitest Ceramic Diffuser ($26, originally $33), which he says "also has vibey light settings, which are great for bedside."

Mraz loves the versatility of the Rareform Zion Sling Bag ($45), and, in fact, he has several that he uses for traveling and gardening. "They are by an upcycling manufacturer who turns our stage backdrops into new products, like tote bags and the Zion Sling bag," he says. Mraz uses at least two Zion Sling bags while he travels, one as a toiletries kit and another for the airplane to hold a little notebook and pen for puzzles and songwriting, an iPod or his phone, and earplugs.

Pro Tip: Because of its durability, you can use this for a wide range of activities, from walking the dog to carrying all your essentials at a festival or concert.
