What are your feelings on name-napping?

If you want to talk about drama for baby mamas, bring up names! From name-changing to name-stealing, monikers have become a big to-do. Emotions often run high when couples finally come up with a name they can agree on only to have it swiped by a friend, family member, or acquaintance. Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler had Camden Jack in August 2012, while Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey welcomed baby Camden John in September of that year, leading Kristin to make a quip about Vanessa and Nick stealing her name. Fifty-one percent of our readers claim to have been victims of name-napping.

This happened with TWO names in my family. My middle sister picked out the name Noah Thomas, but my oldest sister took it after she got pregnant with baby #3. I'm not 100% sure that same sister knew of the baby names I picked, but she just delivered another and used one of the names from my baby list. Whatever, as long as it wasn't my top name. One of my close friends just had a girl and told EVERYONE that if they tried to steal the name, she would kill them :p One of her relatives stole 3 names from people. Name stealing is messed up if it's immediate family. With friends, it doesn't matter if they have the same name.

that is why you keep names to yourself until you find out what you are having or the baby is here.
