White jeans are our latest closet staple to be put to the 10-outfit challenge, and we discovered they are endlessly chic no matter what the occasion. With the rules of fashion changing on a minute-to-minute basis, we think white denim can serve as your blank canvas all year-round (forget the no-white-jeans-after-Labor Day rule). But whether we reach for bow-bedecked heels, candy-colored leather jackets, or a diaphanous blouse, the best accessory was surely an adorable blue bike — by Adeline Adeline, of course. Watch now to see Sveta ride around Chelsea, showing off our favorite 10 white denim looks.

We love eco-friendly modes of transportation here on GeekSugar, but the best way to get around without a carbon footprint is by, well, using your feet. Or in this case, legs. These Velomobiles are the perfect combination of self-powered transport and geeky style. These pod-like contraptions are actually recumbent bikes with an outer shell that keeps you protected from wind, rain, and bugs, and, because they're aerodynamic, you can go faster and farther. Let's face it, these guys look really fun to ride, and if you're in the northern part of the US this Summer, you may see a few whizzing by — the Coast to Coast Velomobile Tour is covering over 3,000 miles this Summer with over 50 riders from the US and UK! Check out a few more images of the velomobiles getting ready to be shipped from their home in the Neatherlands to the West Coast in the gallery!
And away we go! I just returned from a trip to Amsterdam (Bugaboo flew me there to test out the Donkey — review to come!), but strollers aren't the only way families get around. In a city with more bikes than residents, parents have some creative ways to transport their tots through town...and, without helmets. According to the parents I spoke with on the tram, in the streets, and at cafes, head injuries aren't a concern. Take a look at some of the means of transportation.
Can you guess which 90210 star was getting ready for an afternoon bike ride?
Introducing the first and only crocheted bike-seat cover to resemble a vagina. Regretsy found this regrettable treasure of yarn called the Vah-genie. Not surprisingly, nobody wants to steal it.
I've been using 2 different covers on my bikes for over a year. I designed the seat covers so that they can easily be removed and put back on (by those in the know), once the seat cover has been adjusted to your particular bike seat. However, I rarely remove my cover and so far, I have had no reports of cover theft from other users.
No regrets there!
May is National Bike Month, and the roadways where I take my dog North on walkies are filled with wheels. It's pretty common to see cyclists running their dogs alongside their bicycle with a long leash, but it's critical to pratice safe biking and ensure your pup is big and strong enough to keep up. For those with four long legs, there's a whole world of expert toys and gear like this PetEgo Walky Dog Bicycle Leash ($36), which keeps doggie at a safe distance from your bike. Would you rock a gadget like this while running?
In case you didn't know, May is American bike month. The Spring month often provides folks the ideal weather for a ride to the park with a picnic basket in tow. To celebrate the age-old pastime, I'm highlighting some of my favorite whimsical wheels for this week's edition of Etsy Finds.
Take off the training wheels! Neighborhoods are filled with unsteady tots wobbling their way down the sidewalk as parents jog behind them with outstretched arms. It's bike season, as a new crop of kids learns to balance themselves on two wheels another generation of unassisted cyclists is born. Check out these biking tips!
- Bikes without pedals teach tots how to balance without ever leaning on training wheels.
- Cool bike helmet covers might make suiting up for a ride more fun and fashionable!
- Basic bike safety will keep children safe on the road.
- See which hot wheels celebrity tots ride around town.
- Options for taking your lil one on your next bike ride.
- Take a step back in time with Big Wheels.
Did you know May is National Bike Month? You don't have to bike 38 miles to work like one guy did, but it would be cool to participate in style. Cute girls on bikes are all the rage these days — street style photogs get snap crazy over them — so here are loads of inspiration from all over the world, including this one from Amsterdam. There's even a shot of me on my cruiser in Costa Rica. Bike on.
