Only three out of every 100 people in the US donate blood, yet every two seconds someone needs it, according to the American Red Cross. Fewer people are donating blood yearly, and you can help change that by scheduling a donation on World Blood Donor Day (it's June 14). By donating blood, you'll help those battling cancer, accident victims, and patients fighting life-threatening conditions. Find a location, make an appointment, and read up on preparing to give blood if it's your first time.
