Watch Ryan Reynolds Put Together an Ikea Crib Like a Boss

Many a dad-to-be has brought home a box of crib parts with the fatherly intention of putting it together for his child. And a good number of them have left the project halfway through, when they've become overwhelmed by the endless instructions. But most dads don't look like Ryan Reynolds as they lose their cool! For their cover story on the new dad — he welcomed daughter James with his wife, Blake Lively, last December — GQ gave Ryan an Ikea crib and filmed him attempting to put it together. The result is magical — and relatable.

When customer service asks him how they can help, Ryan deadpans, "Besides a slow descent into alcoholism, I'm just really having trouble finding all the screws and pieces that go with it. I mean, there's got to be over a hundred thousand pieces that came with it."

But it's his ultimate solution to putting the crib together that parents everywhere can relate to. Who hasn't wanted to do that?
