Kelly Clarkson and Kate Upton do not mess around when it comes to breastfeeding. In a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the pair of celebrity moms discussed how challenging breastfeeding and pumping can be, emphasizing that women need to talk about their struggles more.

"The hormones are crazy, and no one talks about it," said Kate, who has a 10-month-old daughter named Genevieve. "The hormones after pregnancy, for me, were crazier than when I was pregnant, and it took forever for them to calm down, like months after breastfeeding."

After both stars agreed that "pumping is the worst," Kelly shared what happened when someone accidentally threw out some breastmilk she had recently pumped.

"I lost my ever-living mind — like I was a crazy person," admitted Kelly, who has two kids, 5-year-old River and 3-year-old Remington. "Went in my closet and just collapsed on the floor and was crying. I was like, 'You have no idea how I had to work for that.' And really, there was like nothing in the bottle; I'm crazy. But, literally, it's just a hormonal period. I don't think people take that into account, especially when we're women in the public eye. It is a hard time."

Kate added that moms don't get enough credit for the toll that breastfeeding takes on a woman's body. "Our energy is literally being sucked out of us, so you don't feel like yourself," she said. "It is so difficult and something people need to talk about more." And we completely agree — there's seriously nothing wrong with being honest about your breastfeeding or pumping challenges. Way to set the tone, ladies!
