Queer Eye's Tan France Is a Dad! He and Husband Rob Have Welcomed Their First Child

Tan France is a dad! The Queer Eye star and his husband, Rob, have officially welcomed their first child, a baby boy, via surrogate. Tan announced the birth news on Instagram on Aug. 2, sharing that their son was born seven weeks early on July 10.

"Give our son a warm welcome," Tan wrote. "Ismail France, born July 10th. He came 7 weeks early, so he's been in the NICU for the past 3 weeks. But, today, we finally got to bring him home. We love him so, so much. Like, fully obsessed. Our Surrogate is doing so great, post labor, and we couldn't be more grateful for the greatest gift in our lives."

Tan first announced that he and Rob were expecting a child in April. "So happy to finally share that WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!" he captioned a shirtless photo on Instagram. "No, I'm not pregnant, despite this VERY realistic pic. With the greatest gift/help of the most wonderful surrogate, Rob and I are lucky enough to be on our way to being parents, this Summer. Something we've wanted for SOooo many years. Our hearts are so full right now. I cannot wait to hold this baby, and to show him so much love."

During a recent interview on A Little Late With Lilly Singh, Tan shared that he'd known what he'd name his future son since he was a teenager. "Here's the thing," he said. "I have had a name picked out for my son since I was like 16 or 17, possibly even earlier — I've always known."

Congratulations to the new family of three!
