How to Bring Gun Violence Prevention to Your School

Sandy Hook Promise is a national nonprofit organization founded and led by several family members whose loved ones were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School on Dec. 14, 2012. The organization has a fundamental belief that every act of gun violence is preventible if you know the signs.

With the school year starting back up for the year, the organization is launching a new campaign to help train youth and adults to identify, intervene, and get to know individuals that may be at risk of hurting themselves and others before another tragedy occurs. How can you get involved? You can contact your school officials and ask them to bring the Know the Signs programs to your schools, free of charge.
