In an Emotional Holiday Ad, a Grandfather Lifts Weights Ahead of Christmas For the Sweetest Reason

Doc Morris, a European pharmaceutical company, is tugging on our heartstrings this holiday season with an emotional ad called "Matters of the Heart," featuring an older man who lives alone. At the start of the video, we're introduced to the man around Christmastime, and see him lingering over photos of his family on the wall of his home. He ventures into his garage, where he finds an old kettlebell weight, and so begins a montage in which he attempts to lift the weight every morning as his nosy neighbor watches on. It isn't until the end, when he's reunited with his grandchild for Christmas, that we realize why it was so important for him to gain a bit of strength back into his arms and core.
