You Can Use Toys R Us Gift Cards at Bed, Bath & Beyond — but There's a Catch

Good news for parents with unused Toys R Us gift cards lying around: Bed, Bath & Beyond will buy them in exchange for store credit — but only until April 5 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Bed, Bath & Beyond announced on March 28 that it would allow customers to cash in their Toys R Us or Babies R Us gift cards as part of its "Card Cash" program, which lets shoppers use gift cards from more than 200 vendors as store credit.

When other store's gift cards are used at Bed, Bath & Beyond, they aren't worth as much as their initial value, and this policy applies to Toys R Us gift cards, too. An ABC affiliate reports that "customers would get a $12.84 e-gift card for a $20 Toys R Us gift card, or a $32.10 e-gift card for a $50 Toys R Us gift card."

Parents should also be aware that the gift card you want to exchange needs to have a value of $20 or more and not have an expiration date in order to be eligible for the program.

But for busy parents looking to make the most of their Toys R Us credit before the April 21 deadline, the news is a godsend, especially because Toys R Us is officially no longer offering online shopping to its customers.
