Adele's One Night Only special definitely did not disappoint us with all of its amazing moments, but one in particular was by far the most epic part of the night. During the event on CBS, a man named Quentin surprised his girlfriend of seven years, Ashley, with a lovely marriage proposal. Turns out, he pulled it off with a little help from the show's producers and Adele after reaching out to a fake TV show for help with his proposal. "I'm a bit nervous in case it doesn't go well," Adele said. "It's also a bit ironic that I'm letting this happen."

So here's how it all went down: Quentin planned a romantic date for the two that eventually led them to Adele's live show. With a blindfold and noise-canceling headphones, he was able to quietly lure Ashley right near the front of the stage at Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. When Ashley finally removed her blinders, she looked around at the crowd of people surrounding them with an understandably confused look on her face. "What are you doing?" she asked, welling up with tears in her eyes."Is this real? Am I awake?" — to which Quentin confirmed, "This is real, this is real."

The tearful proposal ended with Ashley saying yes, and to top it all off, Adele emerged on the stage to serenade the newly engaged couple with her song "Make You Feel My Love," which she dedicated to them. The teary-eyed couple even sat right next to Lizzo and Melissa McCarthy to enjoy the rest of the show — talk about a grand gesture! This moment has to go down as one of the most beautiful marriage proposals in all of history. I mean, can you imagine saying yes to the love of your life while Adele sings to you?! If that was me, I definitely would've passed out right then and there.

"I felt like this opportunity was from God for sure because it was made for us."

After the proposal went down, CBS interviewed the happy couple to recap their once-in-a-lifetime experience. During the interview, Gayle King asked Ashley where she thought she was going originally when she was blindfolded and what she thought was actually happening. "I honestly thought we were going to go on a hayride," she revealed. "I'd been talking about going to the pumpkin patch so I just assumed we were doing something cool like that, but I saw him down on one knee and Adele was standing there, and I was like, 'Am I alive? This could be a dream.'" She also shared that she definitely didn't believe the moment was real after seeing celebrities like Melissa, Lizzo, and Kerry Washington all around her.

Though Quentin's proposal came from responding to an ad for a fake TV show in search of couples looking to propose, he said that the opportunity was just right for them. "I felt like this opportunity was from God for sure because it was made for us," he said. "Once it came across my table and I saw it, I knew they were going to pick us because we have so much to offer. I'm just happy that everything went the way it did." Watch the magical proposal above, and prepare to shed a couple tears!
