Kim Kardashian and North West are serving an adorable mother-daughter beauty moment while on a trip to Tokyo, Japan. The duo paid a visit to celebrity manicurists Kim Truong and Diem Truong to get "Kawaii" nails featuring french tips, fun colors, and lots of charms.

Kardashian's nails managed not to stray too far from her typical minimal vibe, opting for a regular coffin-shaped french manicure with a "Hello Kitty" charm on her left ring finger and two pink flowers on her right. Her manicurist used The Gel Bottle's "Marshmallow" ($19) for the base color and the same brand's "Daisy" Gel Polish ($19) for the tips. For West's nails, more was more. The young star had everything from bows to hearts and stars attached to her fingers and further accessorized with colorful rings.

"Kawaii" nails are a beloved trend in Japan. The word loosely translates to "cool" or "awesome," and when used to describe manicures, there are no rules. This typically results in popular cartoon characters like Sailor Moon, Pikachu, or Minnie Mouse incorporated alongside a host of other accents like jewels, 3D charms, hand-painted designs, and glitter. Celebrities like Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa have long championed the trend stateside — and now West can be added to that list. Take a closer look at the mother-daughter duo's nails below.
