Celeb Style: Stella McCartney

Stella is showing her St. Patrick's Day colors today in a fresh denim 'fit. Navy and white stripes are all the rage, but green and white are something new. Stella loves her wide-leg jean, and she adds some interest with a metallic and red obi belt. Black aviators are tough, while a navy double-breasted blazer is the perfect polished touch.

Look of the Day: Captain's Coat

Casa Quickie: Seal Your Stripes

If you were inspired by my black and white stripe powder room makeover or my painted stripes roundup, I have another tip for you before you bite the bullet. First of all, I'd recommend picking up Frog Tape for your project. As you can see, Frog Tape was a godsend when it came to leaving my walls free of bleeding paint. But since it wasn't 100 percent foolproof, check out this tip from CasaSugar Community member steen: "Once you tape off your sections, paint around the edges of the tape using paint that matches your base wall color; it seals the tape and ensures that your new color won't leak." I haven't tested this one out myself, but it makes sense! And, the trick should work any time you're taping, not just for stripes. Let us know if you try it!

I spy with my little eye . . . an incredible variety of stripes in this room! Before I saw it for myself, I wouldn't imagine that mixing this many stripes could actually look as sophisticated, fresh, and put-together as this room does.

Whether you want to add a big splash of stripes to a room in your house, or simply add a single striped element to a space, there are plenty of ways to incorporate them. From rugs to pillows to curtains, the possibilities are nearly endless. Check out some of my favorite striped finds below.

Desire/Acquire: DwellStudio Draper Stripe Sheet Set

The design world is full of copycats. I never thought simple stripes could really be imitated, but as I'm finding out, it's been done. DwellStudio's Draper Stripe Chinois Blue and Ash Sheet Sets ($260), both simple gray-and-white striped sheets in subtly different colors, are paired by the textile company with saffron yellow bedding pieces. The palette is nice, and has been popular since it was introduced, but I wouldn't call it innovative - or more importantly, worthy of copying.

But one retailer that I'm sure you're all very familiar with has produced some very Draper Stripe-inspired bedding. And, it's much cheaper! Want to see it?

Desire/Acquire: Missoni Karl Duvet Cover

The Look For Less: Pleasure Doing Business Striped Banded Skirt

I've always been an advocate of striped minis. Every girl needs one - like this Pleasure Doing Business Striped Banded Skirt ($99) - to liven up her ensemble. Taylor Swift, Mixmaster Cutie: Love It or Hate It?

Taylor Swift almost always goes glam on the red carpet, but her street style is totally different. The country singing cutie spent a day in LA looking like a mixmaster in a striped dress, purple patterned tights, and a yellow floral scarf. Tan oxfords, a green French Connection bag, and a headband complete her outfit. And look, her hair is straight! What do you make of this ensemble - is it too busy or perfect?
