Ultrasounds used to be an exciting part of a woman's prenatal visits, something that occurred once or twice throughout her pregnancy. Today, many moms-to-be are electing to have 3D and 4D ultrasounds that allow them to clearly see and walk away with photos and videos of their unborn child's features.
These 3D and 4D sonograms are often done in luxury suites with plasma video screens, comfortable seating for your family and friends, and piped in lullabies.

In the 1980s, families forced hour long home videos of junior taking a bath on their helpless victims. And, while that is truly something only a mother can love, the latest trends for showcasing kids are a bit less time consuming.
It seems everyone has a sonogram snapshot, Flip cam clip or brag book to browse.

It's amazing to get that first glimpse of your impending babe. Maybe it's because Glee set the bar so high last week, or maybe it's the lack of Sue, but this week's episode just didn't do it for me. There are plenty of catchy tunes, but Rachel's all-of-a-sudden crush on Mr. Schue seems a bit forced, and it seems ridiculous that Will and Emma are best buddies again with no mention of their dramatic encounters from a few weeks ago.
It does have some touching moments (along with some sad ones) for Finn and Quinn, so to get into it just read more

This week on Glee, we find out what happens when two teachers who can't stand each other stop being polite and start gettin' real. It doesn't take very long for Sue and Will to start arguing over how to direct the glee club (even fighting in their voiceovers), and Sue succeeds in turning the kids against each other in the process. Will's problems start to affect his life at home as Terri is still struggling to keep her pregnancy a secret (with the help of her wacky sister).

Expectant parents often tear up the first time they see their babe-to-be in utero, but the image is not guaranteed to have the same effect on others. Some people use sonogram photos to help break their baby news while others take it a step further and turn them into cuff links. A pregnant mama may go gaga over this t-shirt option.

Considering it is the body's only disposable organ, it's amazing how important the placenta is to the growth and nutrition of babies in utero. Throughout pregnancy, the placenta moves around the uterus, ultimately making its way to the top, in anticipation of labor. Sometimes, it stays in place on the bottom of the uterus, either partly or completely covering the cervix, leading to a condition called placenta previa.
