My expecting friend hosted a girls-only slumber party a couple weeks ago. Once the baby arrives, she'll be swamped so she wanted to spend some good ol' girl time before her delivery. We had so much fun watching movies and gabbing the night away!

Mamas-to-be can have a bit of a conundrum over things to pack for their trip to the hospital. One pregnant lilsugar reader posed the question of what to wear after her baby's born and our community of moms had no shortage of advice from sticking to the hospital gown to tanks and granny panties. I've rounded up my favorite five tips and garments in this slideshow!

One of the things to expect when you're expecting is to invest in new threads for your expanding belly. If you're trying to watch your budget during these hard economic times then try to look for gear that will be versatile during your pregnancy and after your bundle of joy arrives. The D & A Nursing Pajama Set ($64) will keep you cozy as your stomach stretches and then provide a comfortable and functional set of jammies to wear while nursing once you pop.

Mommy Dearest,
I am due in a few months and have started thinking about what to take with me to the hospital. I have found lots of options when it comes to PJs and nightgowns and would love to hear your opinion of whether or not it is a good idea to buy some. If so, what type of garment (nightgown, tops and pants, nursing, button down, etc.) should I purchase?

Just as soon as my hospital bags were packed, I found myself a cozy pair of pajama bottoms that happen to be quite easy on the eyes, too. Instead of scurrying down the hospital corridors in beat up flannel pants with balled up fuzz dangling on them, I'll be sashaying with my new bebé in festive cotton pantaloons by Lilka ($48).
Each pair is crafted with a whimsical print — peacocks, doves, florals and parasols adorn the wide legged pants.

Every time our family has an early flight, we cut it close. The shuttle or taxi usually arrives just as I'm about to lose my mind. Then we head to the airport and have to kill time with irritated kids.

Last weekend's pajama party was overflowing with popcorn and fun. The girls and I had a blast sipping champagne as we watched teen flicks from the '80s and reminisced about the good old days. I know it sounds corny, but we even played truth or dare.
