Hugh Jackman spent the last few days on a family vacation in Rio after his turn down the red carpet at last week's People's Choice Awards in LA. He had a few low-key days with his wife Debra and kids Oscar and Ava, but yesterday it was time to step in front of the camera and film an ad as the new global face of Lipton Iced Tea. Hugh Jackman Takes His Kids Out For a NYC Snowball Fight!

Hugh Jackman brought his kids out to enjoy the blizzardy conditions in NYC over the weekend. The trio headed out on Sunday to play in the pristine blanketed city just in time for the holiday week. Hugh was recently showing off his shirtless beach yoga in St. Bart's, but he looks just as happy getting into a snowball fight with Oscar. They were also joined by Cate Blanchett and her three kids making it quite the epic battle in the snow for the celebrity friends.

Hugh is getting ready to host the Oscars and promote X-Men Origins: Wolverine and he's even been invited to be on Dancing with the Stars. All that, but this busy dad still finds time to take his kids to the park and help tote all their toys.

I was convinced that Gwen Stefani would give birth over the weekend. But the weekend has come and gone without an announcement from the Rossdale camp, and sweet lil Kingston seems to still be waiting patiently. Still, we keep a watchful eye on other Tinseltown bumps and tots as they grow before our eyes. Jen and Violet played the hip holster game along with Katie and Suri. Hugh Jackman to Host the Oscars

There's a new host in Oscar town, and this year, he just happens to be the sexiest man alive. Hugh Jackman has been picked as the host for this year's Oscars, which will be trying to pick things back up after last year's record-low ratings.

Rumors started flying this week that the Oscars had picked someone "way outside the box" for this year's host, not a comedian like Jon Stewart, Ellen DeGeneres, or Steve Martin. The Oscars will apparently be a bit different with Jackman as host, most notably that he's unlikely to do a monologue.

It won't be Jackman's first hosting gig: He also hosted the Tonys from 2003-2005 - and the 2004 broadcast actually won him an Emmy.

The Oscars producer told People that Jackman "can hold the screen and he can hold a stage" and "it doesn't hurt that he looks amazing in a tuxedo." Pretty hard to argue with that. Do you think this is a good move?

Hugh Jackman's Recession-Friendly Oscar Nominee Parodies

Among my favorite Oscar moments was Hugh Jackman's opening number, in which he took a recession-inspired look at the year's five Best Picture nominees. I had a feeling things were going to go well when I saw the Slumdog Millionaire set with pizza boxes for TV monitors, but it got better with Hugh posing in the wooden Benjamin Button cutouts and hit its high point with "I haven't seen The Reader!"

It was great live, but it's only in pictures that I've really noticed all the funny details. I would say that Milk lost out by only getting Hugh on a soapbox - but that soapbox went for $20,000 at Elton John's Oscar party, so it's not all bad. Check out all the photos here!

Buzz In: Who Should Host the 2010 Oscars?

Halloween is in full bloom, and you know what that means: the holiday and award seasons are just around the corner. In the next two months, we'll be hearing lots of Oscar buzz as the year's final movies come down the pike, but the films won't be the only stars of the show.

There have already been whispers about who should host the upcoming show - Hugh Jackman boosted the ratings last year, so should he get invited back? Would you rather see a revival of a different past emcee, like Billy Crystal or Jon Stewart, or would you prefer some fresh blood? Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Neil Patrick Harris take a whack at it after doing such a great job with the Emmys, but I'd welcome Jackman back as well. What say you?
