Busy bees have got nothing on mothers. There are not enough hours in the day or hands in the house for most mamas to accomplish all of her tasks. While she can't magically add another 60 minutes to her day, she can make it feel like she did with a few of these easy time-saving tips.

We've hit the midweek mark — and while that may not be cause for celebration for everyone, it's certainly reason enough to stop and evaluate your weekly progress. Are you on task to complete assignments in time for the weekend or have you spent all of your time prepping your Halloween costume and readying your apartment for a slew of trick-or-treaters? If this is the case, you may be in need of a midweek makeover?

My closet is the most unruly area of my home, and my shoes are the worst of it. The thought of keeping them all in shoe boxes, clear plastic or not, is actually funny to me; they wouldn't last even a week. But I applaud anyone who can keep up with it.

In case you haven't noticed, I have a thing for charging stations. I just can't get enough of 'em. Call it my OCD for cable management, or the fact that between my boyfriend and I combined, we have more gadgets than a small country, but I love a nice and neat desk where my gadgets can refresh and recharge.

There's no doubt about it: Technology is frustrating. When it quits, combusts, and dies at the most inopportune moments, we have to remain calm and remember how helpful it is when it's working. Your cell phone is a mini calendar, alarm clock, inbox, parking space locator and mp3 player all in one.

Fabric hangers, in my mind, conjure up knitting grannies and stale, musty closets in country cottages. But they're actually great for protecting delicate materials like silk, expensive lingerie, and fancy dresses. I personally don't own any, but then again my closet may be in need of a hanger update.

Truth be told, my husband and I tracked our kids' feeding and diaper changes on a scrap of paper for about a day before the sleep deprivation kicked in and all we wanted to do was stare at our new bundles of joy. I'm not the perfect mother, so I understand why other women and men take the task more seriously. Perhaps five years of parenthood has us more organized to take on this task for baby number three.

About a year ago, I gave you all an in-depth guide to organizing your hangers. If you're like me, your closet is in tip-top shape for a couple weeks, and then it's time to get organized again.
