When the Berlin Wall fell 20 years ago last week, East and West Germany had to integrate two very different cultures. Freedom may have spread quickly through the East, but nudity — the East's favorite and perhaps only freedom — never caught on in the West.
Freikörperkultur (FKK), or liberal body culture, was really the only way to rebel in the East, where the most quotidian details of people's lives were observed by the Stasi, East Germany's secret police.

It's now 100 percent confirmed that Levi Johnston will bare 100 percent in Playgirl, but don't worry — the photos of the 19-year-old Sarah Palin nightmare will be "tastefully done." The teen dad will shoot the pics on Nov. 16, the same day Levi's ex-future-mother-in-law Sarah Palin is set to make an appearance on Oprah.

A few days ago, an International Day of Climate Action was put on by the global campaign 350.org. Figuring the public is more likely to pay attention to practically naked models than Al Gore (naked or not), the group put together a video of smiling models taking off their clothes because global warming makes them too hot. I'm already skeptical of naked activism, but I think this video is trying to appeal to people who like barely-clothed models.

What family album doesn't include a bath photo? An Arizona family may be thinking twice before ever having such snapshots developed again. The couple's three children were taken from them and placed in foster care after a Wal-Mart employee discovered nude images of the kids while printing up the clan's vacation photos.

I used to date a guy who was such a "naked person," he would pretty much do anything in the buff. I once found him in the kitchen making quesadillas, wearing nothing but his birthday suit. Even he admitted that was a bit much.

It's hard out there for a magazine full of naked men — or, maybe not so hard. I was already skeptical about Filament, the recently launched erotic periodical for women. Now the magazine is wondering whether it should print photos of males who are clearly aroused.

At 2 years old, is there really anything wrong with a child running around in his birthday suit? Ever since my son has been able to tear off the tabs of his diaper, he's liked to lounge free around our house. It isn't a daily occurrence and is getting more and more infrequent as he gets older, but I figure if he's happy and confident, why force him into a pair of sweats?

Some families bare all around the house and don't give a second thought to being in the buff. While modest parents cover up their unmentionables once their children get to be a certain age. Sixty percent of lilsugar readers said they'd never shy away from showing it all.

Need a way to save money, save the planet, and keep cool now that Summer's officially here? Try going nude a few hours a day.
A member of the Naturist Society explains:
"Living more hours naked each day results in a dramatic drop in my laundry, which in turn reduces my water and energy use (along with my related bills).
