When tots are in tow with moms on the go, hand held edibles make eating easier. For those who fret about traveling spills, Kate Gosselin (who recently shared her tricks for feeding a family of ten with us) has a great recipe for a healthy wrap that keeps kids nourished and messes to a minimum.

Handy Hummus Wrap
1 whole wheat (or whole wheat white) wrap
2-3 T Hummus
2-3 leaves of lettuce
½ cucumber, sliced length-wise
½ red pepper cut into long strips

Place lettuce leaves in the middle portion of the wrap. Top with hummus. Add slices of cut vegetables. Roll and cut in half.

PB & Banana

2 slices of whole wheat white bread (also good with oatmeal bread)

1 banana, thinly sliced

Peanut butter

Spread each slice of bread with peanut butter. Place thin banana slices on one slice. Close sandwich and cut into triangles.

Kate Gosselin's Recipe: Cream Cheese Roll

If your tots are up for a kid-friendly twist on the traditional sandwich, Kate Gosselin (who recently shared her tricks for feeding a family of ten with us) offered up her recipe for a rolled treat and another similar version for more adventurous or adult palates.

Cream Cheese Roll

1 slice bread (all breads work well)
Light cream cheese
½ cucumber, sliced length-wise
1 slice smoked turkey

Trim the crusts of the bread and gently roll out the slice so it resembles pastry. Spread with light cream cheese. Place the turkey slice in the center of the bread. Add cucumber slices. Roll the bread similar to a sushi roll and cut into mini rolls.

In the kitchen and uninspired? Wonder woman Kate Gosselin (who recently shared her tricks for feeding a family of ten with us) has come to the culinary rescue with her healthy sandwich recipes that are kid friendly and an easy way to incorporate whole grains into your child's diet.

Fall Harvest Sandwich

2 slices honey ham
1 slice cheddar cheese
1 T honey mustard
½ Granny Smith apple, sliced thin (optional)
2 slices whole wheat bread

Place on one piece of bread in the following order: mustard, cheese, ham, apple slices. Top with the remaining piece of bread. Cut on the diagonal and serve.

Though the couple probably never imagined how their life would turn out at their first nuptials, the eight attendants — Cara, Madelyn, Alexis, Hannah, Leah, Aaden, Collin and Joel — put traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen to shame this time around. When you think about the love that leads to marriage, you can only imagine the commitment that comes with making it down the aisle again.

As most lilsugar readers know, I am a huge fan of Jon and Kate Plus 8, a show that gives parents a peek into the harried lives of a couple with two sets of multiples. I remember watching their first special in awe of how such young parents managed to juggle their eight offspring. So I was stunned to recently learn that there are entire websites dedicated to smearing the Gosselin's name, one of which is supposedly written by a relative's sister. Last night's episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8 was full of surprises. First, Kate took her five lil ladies — Madelyn, Cara, Alexis, Hannah, and Leah — to paint pottery and didn't freak out about the mess. Then, while Jon and his mini mes — Aaden, Collin and Joel— were at man camp working out and drinking smoothies, Joel introduced himself as "daddy's son". Just when you thought it couldn't get any more entertaining, the Gosselins went to New York City and recorded an inspirational family song and music video aptly called, "Together". Check it out!

Three is the magic number. At least, that's what the Gosselins discovered on last night's episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8. Since the twins, Cara and Madelyn, were at school, Jon and Kate realized that splitting the sextuplets in half allowed each parent to spend quality time with their threesome and enjoy the simple luxuries of everyday life like popping tots in the car for an outing.

While the guys headed out for a game of golf, the girls ran out for groceries and did a baking project. Just when you thought it couldn't get much cuter than the three lil ladies — Alexis, Leah, and Hannah — grinning around the kitchen, the show cut to the boys — Collin, Aaden, and Joel — at the golf course cruising around in a cart, and running around the course letting off steam. The parents have never looked so relaxed and the kids have never been so quiet. While I love the banter and chaos of the Gosselins's everyday life, whether you have two kids or 20, having less than the lot seems to make certain tasks much more manageable.

Last night's episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8 wasn't all about the twins and sextuplets, it focused on Jon and Kate. And, while there weren't any scenes of kids impersonating animals or eating modeling clay, the couple proved just as interesting. Before they became parents, the mom and dad now beloved for their bickering, banter, and ability to make raising eight children look doable, were a couple of lovebirds.

The home video footage they shared revealed a smitten Kate staring at a starry eyed Jon. There were snippets of their engagement, wedding and honeymoon in Disney World. At 22 and 24, the carefree newlyweds who met at a picnic just after Kate finished nursing school and Jon returned from backpacking though Europe, never suspected they would eventually be elbows deep in diapers and driving a family van. Five years later, they were the parents of eight. And, now as they manage their growing brood, though the affectionate glances may be fewer and further between, they are still there. The thing I love about Jon and Kate is that they are real.

Last night Jon and Kate Plus 8 kicked off another great new season with a trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo. I could watch the Gosselin's show and marvel at how parents, Jon and Kate, manage their twins, 7, and sextuplets, 3, for days.

All of the eight children have very unique personalities, but who can resist Aaden, the lil guy with glasses that they call the "little professor"? Last night, they predicted that he'll become a zoologist since he had such genuine interest and love for the zoo animals. And it is his adorable ability to take on the personality of a different animal each day that makes him our first celeb sugarbaby!

Lynda Carter's got nothing on Kate Gosselin, star of Discovery Channel's Jon and Kate Plus 8 and mother of 7-year-old twins — Cara and Madelyn and 3-year-old sextuplets —Alexis, Aaden, Collin, Leah, Hannah and Joel.

Beyond Kate's ability to coupon clip her way to $600 monthly grocery bills, color coordinate her children's outfits and make pancakes from scratch, the 32-year-old maintains her humor amid all the controlled (and uncontrolled) chaos.

But mainly, we'd like to give the former nurse turned stay-at-home-mother kudos for keeping her sanity and a positive attitude while raising eight amazing lil darlings. And, for providing us viewers a glimpse into what life is like with two sets of multiples.
