Just as Jared Padalecki will probably always be Dean from Gilmore Girls in my mind, I can't look at Fred Savage without thinking of that baby-faced kid coming of age during the '60s and '70s on Wonder Years. But even fresh-faced little boys grow up, and Savage continues to seek out non-Kevin Arnold-related work as he gets older.
Just today it was announced that Savage will play the lead role in a CBS comedy pilot by Family Guy writer/producer Ricky Blitt.

Fred Savage, the actor that we fell in love with as Kevin Arnold and his real life Winnie Cooper, wife Jennifer Stone are in the midst of their own wonder years getting ready for baby number two. The couple that married in 2004 already have one-year-old son, Oliver.
According to a People Magazine article:
"We're due in May," Savage revealed, but Stone said the baby's name and sex are going to be a surprise.

Before reality television and trashy prime-time teen dramas, there was "The Wonder Years." Who could resist watching awkward little Kevin pine after Winnie, his chubby-cheeked object of affection? (All together now: "Awww...") But despite tuning in every week, I never noticed the scarcity of dialogue on the show.

Here are some faux behind-the-scenes shenanigans on the crazy FX show "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia," about two siblings and their friends who run an Irish pub in Philly. It includes Fred Savage, Rhea Perlman, and the most terrifying sentence I think I've ever heard: "It's your turn to blow DeVito."

From the land of "honest, I am not making this stuff up" comes news of a Burger King movie. Yes, the oddly creepy, mostly mute Burger King has inked himself a studio and distribution deal. In fact Burger King: When Snacks Attack (I made that title up, the actual title hasn't been finalized yet) has a tentative release of late this year.

Things are looking pretty good for Martin Scorsese at the Academy Awards this year. Despite directing classics like Taxi Driver and Goodfellas, Martin has yet to win an Oscar. Over the weekend, however, Martin was chosen as filmmaker of the year at the Directors Guild Awards for The Departed.
