Moms have love-hate relationships with their diaper bags. They love the totes' pockets for storing all of their lil one's items, but hate the baby-inspired designs. Over the past few years, bag designers have caught wind of mamas' complaints and flooded the market with drool-worthy designs that mask the actual purpose of the sacks.

Diaper bags are meant to help mama schlep all her baby's necessities wherever she goes, but they often go far beyond carrying nappies and wipes. The totes slung over modern mommies' shoulders are cute enough to rival the average purse while big enough to hold all the diapering gear — and then some. Take a look inside any mama's bag and she'll likely have a few diapers, but chances are she also has everything, but the kitchen sink stowed away.

Mainstream mothers aren't the only ones who stuff their diaper bags to capacity! Celebmamas may sport pricey purses for nights out on the town, but when the ladies are with their children, they turn to more practical carryalls. Since stars have access to every design on the market, it's no surprise that many favor higher-end diaper bags.

Diaper bags are a mother's best friend. Parents use the totes to stash cash, keys, diapers, wipes and all of baby's accessories while they travel out and about with their tots. Available in high end designs and simple sacks that don't break the budget, there are many to choose from.

Just when I thought I'd seen the end-all-be-all of diaper bags, I was sent the Babymel x2 to review. Specifically designed for parents of twins, it's perfection for any mom on the go. The designers created a two-in-one satchel that easily detaches so mom can carry only what she needs.

Diaper pails aren't the only baby item that tend to stink over time. Diaper bags and hampers also absorb musty smells that grow stronger as lil ones add more items to them. Though a good scrub down or a round in the washer may rid the smells temporarily, an old-fashioned, household item will extinguish the stench.

Move over diaper cream and pacifiers — this is mama's bag! Stubborn ladies who are bent on slinging their sassy totes around rather than standard diaper bags will love the idea behind the $45 PishPosh Mommy insert.
Instead of stashing a bottle in the pocket of a swanky designer bag and risking spilled milk on pricey polished leather, the PishPosh pouch holds all of babe's necessities and zips up to easily fit into most totes so moms can pull or pack it when they see fit.

A lot of unattractive things come with motherhood — spit up, poop conversations and stretched out body parts so why should mommy also settle for an ugly diaper bag? Ladies with babes who want to look FAB-U-LOUS and still tote their diapers and bottles around town can still rock a hot bag while hiding their wares in the Rebecca Minkoff Knocked Up diaper bag.
The black nylon and leather gold trimmed tote is sleek on the outside with a water-proofed striped interior — a mother's paradise.

The purchase of a diaper bag is a truly personal decision that expectant mamas spend plenty of time agonizing over. While some fit everything but the kitchen sink, others have only enough space for the essentials. We've seen everything from flower and Winnie-the-Pooh laden designs to designer-logo ones that look just like our every day handbags.
