With schools' rolling spring breaks in full swing many families' thoughts turn to the magical world of Disney. Whether it be frolicking with the princesses, riding It's a Small World or taking pictures with Mickey and his pals, the Disney theme parks have caught the attention of youngsters and their parents for generations.
But with single day ticket prices costing as much as $68 per child – and that doesn't even include transportation to the parks and accommodations once you arrive – a trip to the land of the Mouse is hardly an inexpensive one.

I can't believe I had never heard of this place until I cracked open the Times yesterday — Shades of Green. It's a vacation spot for soldiers on active duty (and other eligible service folks) to call their own when they come home to visit their families or need a vacation.
Nestled within Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, the name is inspired by camouflage colors and features everything you'd expect from a fun-in-the-sun resort — all housed on property leased by the Army.

Children dream of going to the wonderful world of Disney to meet their heroes, wear mouse ears, ride the Dumbo ride, and eat cotton candy. And, most parents love taking their kids to Disney to fulfill those childhood fantasies while relaxing a little bit themselves. Apparently, some adults, in the midst of all things Disney, will be able to relax kid free according to a Tampa Bay news report.

From silent films and gloved mice to Arabian nights and amusement parks, the Walt Disney Company has covered a lot of bases. But never ever did I think the media conglomerate would get its feet wet in the world of wallpaper. I was wrong.

The joy of playing roller coaster Tycoon on the PC is that you get to create the roller coaster of your dreams. You know, the kind you were always too short to ride as a kid? But at Walt Disney World in Florida, Mickey is taking things one step further and letting you design your own actual roller coaster, and then setting you off in a virtual world to enjoy it.

Big Monday morning news — The Walt Disney Company has acquired the wide world of Marvel Entertainment! Disney will now have the rights to over 5,000 Marvel characters, including beloved heroes like Spider-Man, Iron Man, and The Fantastic Four.
Disney has spread its wings over the years, but to me that castle logo will always imply a younger audience.

I enjoy learning pretty much anything related to the wizardry that goes on at Pixar which is why I jumped at the chance to chat with director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera at WonderCon all about Pixar's forthcoming film, Up.
We spoke directly after the two men previewed clips from the movie to a large and enthusiastic crowd and later that evening I watched a special screening of the first 45 minutes of the film. I don't want to give anything away because I know how much I enjoyed my first peek, but I'll say there is much more to this movie than the trailer implies.
