I can't believe I had never heard of this place until I cracked open the Times yesterday — Shades of Green. It's a vacation spot for soldiers on active duty (and other eligible service folks) to call their own when they come home to visit their families or need a vacation.
Nestled within Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, the name is inspired by camouflage colors and features everything you'd expect from a fun-in-the-sun resort — all housed on property leased by the Army.

Children dream of going to the wonderful world of Disney to meet their heroes, wear mouse ears, ride the Dumbo ride, and eat cotton candy. And, most parents love taking their kids to Disney to fulfill those childhood fantasies while relaxing a little bit themselves. Apparently, some adults, in the midst of all things Disney, will be able to relax kid free according to a Tampa Bay news report.

The numbers are finally in from 2008, and among all of the big-named bankruptcies that occurred last year there were some financial knights. Strength in numbers wasn't easy to come by during a year that beat up most everyone, but Fortune managed to find ten that came out on top of the business world in 2008.

I first stumbled upon Lee Gainer's work when I searched Etsy for the term "circles" for my Trend Alert on circles, and I've been in awe of it ever since. Lee creates beautiful mixed media collages and paintings from a variety of materials like fabric, foam, paper, felt, dried paint, and cardboard. Many of the materials in the collages are hand-rolled into circles and swirls and placed precisely using Golden Soft Gel, forming an abstract representation of imagery we all know and love, like "baby," "seascape," "snowflake," and even "yellow dragon."

I totally enjoyed Beverly Hills Chihuahua (did you?) – so here's a tail-waggingly good tale about one of the film's heroes, the lovable and macho Papi. The bat-eared Chihuahua mix named Rusco was rescued for the part from the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter by a trainer who's now the pup's proud parent, too.The lil guy was a fast learner (just like another rescue-turned-star pooch I remember) able to quickly acclimate to a role in front of lights, cameras and action. His fave rewards during the learning process .
