The girls have been busy this week, hitting the park for fun times on the swings and the bakery to pick up sweet treats. Jen's gearing up for her next role in Butter, and she might be sharing the big screen with Jim Carey and Kate Hudson, who are rumored to be joining the project. Filming is set to start next month in Louisiana, which works out conveniently for Kate Hudson, who's already in New Orleans shooting Earthbound.

Jennifer Garner changed up her afternoon routine yesterday with daughters Violet and Seraphina. The trio paid a visit to the playground at Santa Monica beach, with Seraphina exploring the swings and Violet showing off her moves on the balance beam. Jennifer herself displayed her physical abilities earlier in the week when she carried both girls on their way out of Violet's school. The Garner-Affleck girls know a thing or two about playing at the park, and they looked right at home enjoying themselves in the warmer weather.

Jennifer Works Her Butter-Churning Muscles With Violet and Seraphina

Jennifer Garner had her hands full with Violet yesterday morning as they headed to school in LA, but things got a little more complicated during the afternoon when Seraphina needed a lift as well. The Garner-Afflecks were fresh off another weekend of fun family times, as both Ben and Jen are home for a bit between big-screen projects. Jen will soon be off to work on her next movie, Butter, when filming starts next month in Louisiana. It's the first film to come from Jennifer's production company Vandalia Films, and she says, "I can't wait to start churning."

Seraphina joined in on Saturday for a family-friendly Lisa Loeb show in Santa Monica. They all headed out again yesterday afternoon for lunch at Mayberry in Pacific Palisades, to finish up another fun foursome weekend.

Ben and Jennifer Make the School Run a Family Affair

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were a team yesterday morning as they dropped Violet off at school in Santa Monica. Jennifer went out again in the afternoon to pick their oldest daughter up, though instead of Ben, she brought a walking Seraphina along. Violet's school runs have been family outings all week, but Ben and Jennifer recently welcomed someone into their clan that she wasn't too thrilled to host. Jimmy Kimmel's Handsome Men's Club skit included a stint in bed with Jennifer and Ben, and she later joked that it was one of her worst nightmares.

Ben Breaks Out His Cords While the Garner Girls Do Lunch

Ben Affleck went super casual yesterday to drop off Violet at school in LA. A nanny was there to pick her up, bringing Seraphina and her Elmo book inside first. Then Seraphina and Violet headed over to lunch with friends and their mom, Jennifer, who held the hand of a young girl in a princess costume as they headed into the restaurant. Despite being part of one of our favorite Oscar moments ever, Ben decided to skip out on Sunday's big ceremony to enjoy a low-key weekend at home with his family. We did get a little peek at Ben in action, though, when he joined some of Hollywood's other hot guys in Jimmy Kimmel's Handsome Men Club.
