I could barely get a leg in my daughter's dresses, but the darling duds by Hudson Threads would be worth stealing if they were hanging in her closet. The mom run New York based company offers clothing with personality for kiddos if you're looking for items that don't look like they've been purchased off the rack. The small line of girls' apparel offers retro dresses, mod capris and a droolworthy jacket, while the boys' clothing includes Bermuda shorts and everyday tees.

Look out Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte, baby's got a new pair of shoes and they're not made for mama. Who needs Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahniks when there is uberstylish foot candy in the form of Fox Paws. Fashion plates like Suri Cruise and Stella McDermott should make these staples in their droolworthy wardrobes.

This season's tunics have inspired me both on and off the beach. Great for throwing over a pair of jeans or capris when on a school run, they are also the perfect cover-up over when heading for the water.
Little Joule, the children's and baby line to come out of British outdoor clothing company Joules, has designed this adorable rose-print kaftan ($23) that would perfectly suit my Summer needs – if only it came in grown-up sizes.

Finding the perfect sweater for Spring isn't an easy task for mothers or their lil ones, never mind one at a price that doesn't burn through your wallet. The Cherokee Short Sleeve Swing Tunic is not only ideal for the crisp air that fills mornings and evenings, but at $12 its price can't be beat. The 100 percent cotton double weave sweater would look adorable over both long sleeve blouses on cooler days and short-sleeve tees on warmer ones.

It's hard to get more preppy chic than a piece of Lilly Pulitzer clothing. Founded in the early '60s by a Palm Beach socialite, and made famous when worn by Jackie Kennedy in a Life magazine spread, Lilly Pulitzer clothing expanded into children's wear in the mid-'90s when the brand was resurrected after a nine-year break.
This adorable Coco Sweater Dress ($78) puts me in the mood for Spring, with its playful stripes and cute rosette.

Finding the perfect top that can be worn to accompany your tot on kindergarten interviews and out on date night isn't an easy task. If Ses Petites Mains made this beautiful Agnys Blouse ($44) in mommy sizes, I would buy it in both colors and consider my shopping task complete. The fine wale corduroy shirt, which comes in either light pink or green, has beautiful gathers throughout, elastic cuffs that create a stylish bloused look and a belt that ties in the back.

The exquisiteness of the Marie Chantal Angel Wing towel ($110) and collection cannot be expressed in a picture. Though the pieces are pretty pricey, they are made of the type of soft cotton that is capable of sending any mother and infant far beyond the clouds.
I stopped into the Marie Chantal store on Beverly Drive in Los Angeles this past weekend and was thrilled by the chic patterns and designs and impeccable fabric.

Even the lil Europeans have a fabulous sense of style. The overseas companies just seem to capture the right mood when they design clothes. Catimini, the French brand known for their bright, whimsical designs and stunning embroidery, always catches my eye.

I love it when designers have kids of their own because motherhood inspires them to create lil versions of their favorite pieces. The latest designer to join this bandwagon is Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss, the woman behind the Shoshanna label of swimwear and dresses for busty women. Gruss has teamed up with classic children's apparel store Best & Co.
