In the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving, I like to take inventory of my serving ware. I plan on doing a lot of entertaining between now and New Year's, and whether I'm plating up bite-sized appetizers or slicing pieces of roast chicken, I'm going to need a lot of serving trays and bowls.
I want to invest in a couple of new ones, can you help me find them?

It may be a bit over the top, but I love to have the correct serving dishes for specific international items. For example, any time I make Spanish tapas I serve them in clay dishes that I purchased while living in Spain. Although I have never been to Japan, I really want a fabulous sushi serving set.

With the weather warming up, I've turned my attention to alfresco entertaining. Last weekend, I suggested my guests and I grab our cocktails and appetizers and head out to the patio. There was a lot to carry and on my third trip back to the kitchen, I couldn't help but wonder why I don't own a stylish serving tray?

The other day when I was at the vacation house, I noticed something quite disturbing. Well that's an exaggeration I guess, but for someone who loves to entertain, it was a shock. I went to make a salad in my favorite red salad serving bowl and realized it had 2 gigantic cracks!

Olives are one of my favorite foods and an ingredient I always have on hand to be party ready. While I'm usually a fan of modern serving ware, I don't really know how to feel about this Olive Drop by designer Ernie Bakker. It's inspired by a children's game and the toothpicks must be pulled out before the olives can be enjoyed.

Since I'm a design fiend, I think my friends expect to receive decorating gifts from me. But it really can be just as hard to shop for décor gifts as it is for clothes. Year after year, I struggle to find something that appeals to their tastes and lifestyles.

You're supposed to think that the jokes in I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell are so shocking, so offensive, that you laugh because you forget being PC for a moment. And if you don't laugh, you're the kind of square that Tucker Max, the lead character, takes aim at.
The real story is that the movie is offensive, but not because it's just so edgy.

Entertaining at home is one of my favorite activities of all time, but as with all hobbies, it requires lots of thinking ahead and decision-making, from planning a prep schedule to coordinating the menu. In this series, I'll present a dish and ask you to share what you'd serve alongside it.
Here's the scenario: You're hosting a birthday party for a close friend, and you've purchased fresh asparagus from the farmers market.

Entertaining at home is one of my favorite activities of all time, but as with all hobbies, it requires lots of thinking ahead and decision-making, from planning a prep schedule to coordinating the menu. In a new series reminiscent of our What Would You Make feature, I'll present a dish and ask you to share what you'd serve alongside it.
Here's the scenario: You've toiled over these individual-sized portions of baked shells and cheese, made with parmesan and sharp white cheddar, for a dinner party that you're hosting.
