There are two camps on the birth announcement field — those who gravitate to more modern ones with photos of the baby and those who prefer traditional cards that simply introduce the newborn.
If you are in the latter camp, the chic, clean designs of New York-based Pretty Printing should be right up your alley. Created by a former fashion executive, the company's line of birth announcements and thank you notes feature preppy iconography such as boats, anchors, prams and monogrammed onesies.

Cheryl Cole's Saturday night ensembles are pretty much the main draw for me watching The X Factor. I love the Kindle because I can not only read books and blogs, but I can download newspapers and magazines. The downside? They don't have some of my favorite periodicals, and let's face it — it's a pretty pricey gadget whose only function is reading.

When was the last time you received a piece of snail mail that wasn't a bill, invite or subscription? As we've become more and more dependent on our portables and inboxes, our mailboxes have become less and less personal. Mandy Moore was pretty in a printed dress on Thursday night for a bash in LA held to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation. It was a rare outing for Mandy, who's been busy settling into married life with Ryan Adams.
