Roundup: Orange You Glad It's October

I don't think it's a coincidence that the month October and the color orange both begin with the letter "o." The two are practically synonymous . . . in my mind, at least. Fall leaves, pumpkins, clementines, Chinese lanterns - the list goes on. So, I thought I'd round up some of my favorite orange home décor items. While they're all fabulous, if I were you I'd try to exercise a little restraint and just pick up a few of your faves - unless you're someone like Karim Rashid, who wears only two colors. Unless you've got a room full of girly pastels, I think orange is a really versatile color, that will warm your home and give it a contemporary look.

Last month, though we bid adieu to Summer, warm weather still made an appearance for many of us every now and then. This month, we'll know it's Fall for sure when we see the ground covered in orange leaves and feel a chill in our homes. Instead of reminiscing about memories of poolside barbecues and outdoor festivities, we'll face the season head on, and do our best to enjoy October in our homes. Although I'm sad that summer weather is waving us goodbye, autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. Every Thursday on CasaSugar, I'll give you a decorating challenge and ask you to go Casa Craving for items that fit the look. (Here's a post explaining what a Casa Craving is and how to create one.)
