I was convinced that Gwen Stefani would give birth over the weekend. But the weekend has come and gone without an announcement from the Rossdale camp, and sweet lil Kingston seems to still be waiting patiently. Still, we keep a watchful eye on other Tinseltown bumps and tots as they grow before our eyes. Jen and Violet played the hip holster game along with Katie and Suri. In less than a year Nicole Richie has made the unlikely shift from young Hollywood style icon to trendsetting mommy and we love her for it. We've been watching her push her Orbit stroller through Los Angeles recently and though it's not as glamorous as the Silver Cross pram she showed off in Harper's Bazaar, her Orbit deserves functional, yet chic recognition. I adore the Orbit Baby collection because it comes in pieces — a car seat, stroller and base. You can update your baby's ride as he or she grows instead of having to purchase a new stroller. The infant set costs about $900.

Former girls gone wild are the latest to join Tinseltown's hottest new "it" club — motherhood. Being single and sassy in Hollywood is still trendy, but apparently nothing gets rags off the rack faster than baby bumps and family additions. Angelina Jolie was a wild child who tamed down her life with the adoption of first son, Maddox. Following in her footsteps, club rat Nicole Richie and former child actor and meth addict Jodi Sweetin had daughters. The former Simple Life star credits baby Harlow Kate Madden with saving her life.

Certainly the transition into motherhood requires most new moms to shift from self–centered lifestyles to totcentric ones. While having a baby means added responsibility, it by no means makes you less crazy. If anything, it's likely to drive you more insane as you lose sleep, listen to Elmo, and drive carpool with Sesame Street blaring in the background.

Babies babies everywhere! Cedars–Sinai must be fighting off the paparazzi today with all of the baby buzz going around. Famous for being famous, Nicole Richie and Good Charlotte front man, Joel Madden welcomed a baby girl in Los Angeles. People reports that Harlow Winter Kate Madden came into their lives on Friday, January 11 weighing 6 lbs and 7oz.

Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman are also expected to deliver any minute at the same hospital. Stay tuned.

If you're pregnant, I'm sure you've heard that reading and playing music for your unborn baby supposedly makes them the next Einstein. Now, they've come out with a prenatal education system called Baby Plus. Their website claims:

"Our patented prenatal curriculum is designed to strengthen your baby's learning capabilities with naturally derived audio lessons."

The gadget runs $150, but there are quite a few parent reviews on their site that say the results are worth every penny. One proponent says:

"My son . . . is very musical and learns extremely fast. He is saying words like "blueberry" and "hot potato" already at 14 months — just amazing! My husband and I will be using BabyPlus when we have another child, for sure!"

Former party girl Nicole Richie snatched one up for her little bundle.
