For some reason I was watching this adorable Sesame Street episode about a guy who complains to Grover, the waiter, about a fly in his soup and I thought, he sure looks like Dr. Phil. And what do you know?

When the puppets of Avenue Q stopped by Scrubs a while back, the result was a fun and slightly off-color musical romp through Sacred Heart. Tonight, some more familiar Muppets — including Grover, Oscar the Grouch, and Elmo — are swinging by the hospital, and while this episode seems a little sweeter, it looks like it will still have a lot of laughs.
I mean, just look at that picture!

I heard from a respected source that next to the xylophone-playing Cookie Monster was a pink bass-playing gorilla. (The eyes can only take in so much, right? Hence, the cropping.) The question is, what is Cookie Monster doing busking in the NYC subway system?

The Muppets seem to be having a bit of a resurgence lately, what with Jason Segel working on a new Muppet movie and maybe even an updated Muppet Show. But those projects are still a ways off, so while we're waiting, it might be worth checking out NBC tonight for a new Muppet holiday special, A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa.
In the special, which airs tonight at 8 p.m.

This is one of the cutest things I've ever seen: a Muppet quilt! I cannot imagine how long this took, but, giving the amazing outcome, I bet the brilliant chick that did this had a blast. Click here to see close-ups.

I always knew that Ernie was the stabilizing force for Bert. He was the social one, the happy one, the one who always went, "Tee hee hee hee" while playing with rubber duckies. Just watch this video of Bert gone Travis Bickle, and you'll see why he never should've stopped being Ernie's roommate.

It is always an exciting afternoon when the FAO Schwarz holiday catalog arrives. While I may still be planning my Halloween activities, it is never too early to sit down and thumb through the book of extravagant toys for children of all ages. This year's edition was filled with massive stuffed animals and a $10,000 military ATV, but what really caught my eye was the new Muppet Whatnot Workshop that is due to open next week.

Fans of Avenue Q, The Dark Crystal, and the general concept of inappropriate things coming from the mouths of puppets may want to pay special attention to this news: The Jim Henson Co. is working on a film noir comedy-slash-murder mystery movie called The Happytime Murders.
In the world of The Happytime Murders, puppets and humans co-exist together, but puppets are viewed as second-class citizens.
