A beauty brand — I won't name names because they don't need the publicity, but this story has more information — is hoping to build buzz by using Malia Obama's upcoming birthday as a PR stunt. They're sending her a $350 basket filled with beauty goods, selling the basket online, and encouraging shoppers to digitally "sign" a birthday card for her. This brand didn't get permission to mention Malia in this pitch, and I find the whole thing pretty tacky.

Lots of our favorite celebs were out celebrating Easter yesterday, including Fergie who was in DC making the White House party a little more festive. The singer performed the national anthem and a few of her singles at the annual Easter Egg Roll, with the whole Obama family watching by her side. Fergie got a big hug from the president and said the whole experience was "one of the most amazing moments of my life."
The Obama Girls Get Their Puppy!
There will be paws padding around the White House soon! According to recent reports, Malia and Sasha Obama will be the proud owners of a six-month-old Portuguese Water Dog named Bo. Initially, the first family was going to adopt a rescue animal, but ended up with this pup that was returned to its breeder.
