I was on a Southwest flight from LA to San Francisco Sunday and sat right behind Jon Voight! He was seated in a window seat being quite chatty with the two girls next to him, who didn't seem to have any idea who he was.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen finally had its big LA premiere last night ahead of the movie's release tomorrow. Sexy in white Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf were once again attached at the hip on the red carpet. Michael Bay may have been ready to pitch a fit about the sequel's promotional budget, but Shia and Megan have been making sure all eyes are on them as they brought it around the world.

Angelina Jolie turns 34 years old today, and with that in mind I thought it would be fun to take a look back over her career, starting at when she was just five years old, spanning all the way through to Cannes this year! Happy Birthday, Angelina!

Kiefer Sutherland was full of smiles at the screening for the finale of 24 season seven yesterday, despite his recent troubles. He was joined by costars Cherry Jones, Sprague Grayden, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Elisha Cuthbert, Annie Wersching and Carlos Bernard at the Wadsworth Theater in Los Angeles, as well as this season's baddy Jon Voight. We've got to wait a few weeks until we see the season finale here in the UK.

Penelope Cruz was the guest of honor at yet another party celebrating her Oscar nomination in LA yesterday. Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas hosted at their home out on their patio with guests that included Kate Hudson and Rosario Dawson. If Penelope ends up taking home the trophy come Oscar night, she'll have plenty of friends to thank in her acceptance speech.

LA is teeming with TV stars, and Fox held its Winter 2009 TCA panels yesterday with the casts and crew of 24, Dollhouse and House in attendance, as well as the Osbournes and American Idol judges Paula Abdul and Kara Dioguardi. My girl Molly's got the lowdown straight from Kiefer Sutherland's mouth about the new series of 24: my girl Buzz wants to know are you watching this season?, and I've got a recap quiz on the opening episodes! Hugh Laurie looked happy after his People's Choice win, and Jason Bateman and Will Arnett chatted about their new animated show, Sit Down, Shut Up.

It's no secret that some Tinseltown parents have political leanings. Matt Damon has been hitting the Obama campaign trail hard while Elisabeth Hasselbeck works it for Sarah Palin. Check out the slideshow to see if you know which box some of Hollywood's hippest parents will check next Tuesday!

We've all seen plenty of movies about police corruption and while it's not necessary to avoid this storyline altogether, it should be avoided if there's absolutely nothing new or interesting brought to the table. Today we even have another new movie that deals with a similar issue (dirty cops) — but in a compelling way. I really enjoy Edward Norton's work, and I wanted to give Pride and Glory a chance for his sake.

Two of my favourite Freaks And Geeks – James Franco and Seth Rogen – premiered their new movie Pineapple Express in the US yesterday. Just in case my title confused you, Pineapple Express is not a train, in the movie it refers to a rare new strain of weed that the stoner and his dealer (Rogen and Franco) drop when they witness a murder – unfortunately it's so rare it can easily be traced back to them, so they go on the run.
I can't wait to see this movie, and neither could the whole host of stars that showed up to the LA premiere including Jim Carrey, Kanye West, Daniel Craig, Emma Stone, Alicia Silverstone and many more.
