Despite the Dow's historic crash and the House of Representatives failing to pass the $700 billion bail-out measure, things seem to be just peachy in the life of celebabies. It's actually a nice distraction to watch cheery cheeks smiling from ear to ear in a sunshiny environment. Why must Kingston lose his buoyant demeanor or Ruby Maguire her perky pigtails over such fiscal matters? Matilda Ledger seems to be the only tot who dressed for this Monday's doomsday occasion.

I was convinced that Gwen Stefani would give birth over the weekend. But the weekend has come and gone without an announcement from the Rossdale camp, and sweet lil Kingston seems to still be waiting patiently. Newlyweds Jessica Alba and Cash Warren welcomed baby girl, Honor Marie Warren into their family this weekend. According to People Jessica delivered at Hollywood's baby hot spot — Cedars–Sinai in Los Angeles. A few months ago, rumors swirled that the couple planned to name the baby girl Honor as Jessica felt it was an honor to be having Cash's baby.

While the actress suspects her baby daddy will sneak their tot to McDonald's much to her chagrin, she is serious about her maternal role. She said:

I don't want to be my child's friend; I want to be a mom. But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it's going to be about treading that line.

For the last month of my pregnancy, I went to the nail salon weekly to pamper my fingers and toes.

In the delivery room, my nails looked so fabulous that the nurses kept complimenting me on them. And, it was nice to have manicured nails for all of the photo ops that came with having a new babe.

The celeb has taken a break from working to concentrate on getting her house situated for her impending baby-to-be. The starlet who will soon welcome a lil girl is also making an extra effort to be mindful of her health. A recent article in People reported:

I have to make sure that I'm eating more of the right nutrients and vitamins, but I'm not used to eating this much," she says. "I've had to take time out of the day to eat before I get cranky and rundown and tired. Before I was just like the energizer bunny."

Apparently we aren't the only ones who have taken note of Tinseltown's babymania. At last night's Oscar ceremony, host Jon Stewart had a laugh at the expense of the celebmamas in the audience.

Maybe I'm biased, but I thought the baby bump was the hottest fashion trend of the night.
