It's that time of year — the dreaded, but necessary flu shots are here. The American Lung Association kicked off their "Faces of Influenza" public awareness campaign emphasizing the importance of getting vaccinated.
One of our favorite celeb moms, Jennifer Garner, joined the efforts along with famous parents, Dean Cain and Joy Behar.

Barack Obama hasn't been directing many resources to Arizona all along, but the campaign still thinks they have a good chance of winning McCain's home state. The last candidate to lose his state was Al Gore; Tennessee didn't go blue for its native son.
This past weekend the Obama camp asked supporters to donate money to help expand efforts in "new battlegrounds" including Georgia, North Dakota, and Arizona.

[Cue Indiana Jones theme Song] Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull had its big Cannes premiere last night and it wasn't only the movie's stars clamoring to see the much-anticipated film. Harrison Ford was the man of the hour alongside George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, but looked happiest next to Calista in beautiful blue. Shia got all gussied up and dare I say looked a little overwhelmed with Cate Blanchett at such a huge event.

This weekend at the Cannes Film Festival was ruled by the exciting premiere of Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull on Sunday night. All the stars showed up – sexy older man Harrison Ford, teen crush-magnet Shia LaBeouf and perfect Cate Blanchett – along with famous fans of the movie including on/off couple Kelly Brook and Billy Zane. Paz Vega showed up in a deep red dress channeling Dita Von Teese, Natalie Portman looked classic, and Rachel Leigh Cook turned a few heads in her bright pink number.

I think he may have been trying to poke editorial fun at John McCain, but all I could picture was that scene with the gravy boat (ack!) and the moment when he said we can stop casualties by pulling out of Iraq, and I wondered to myself how fast it would take a missile to get here from the Middle East.
