The 2009 Teen Choice Awards took place yesterday in LA, with all the stars of the past year's charts, movies and TV shows turning up to be awarded by teens. The show is yet to air in both the US and UK, but Twilight took home a whole host of awards (check out the winners list under the cut for spoilers) as did Gossip Girl and the Jonas Brothers. Kristen Stewart looked like she was taking tips from Robert Pattinson with her big hair, and wore a seriously cool spiky skirt, while Leighton looked sexy in stripes!

He said: "Anyone who regularly watches This Morning will hopefully agree that we try our very best to give a balanced point of view. I still believe we approached her difficulties with a much fairer, gentler hand than she would have received in many other arenas.

This week the contestants chose from iTunes top downloads, and while the pop hits would suggest guaranteed fun, there seemed to be more letdowns than sing-alongs. After a rocky start with Anoop attempting his best Usher and Megan butchering Bob Marley, Danny Gokey finally wowed the judges with his rendition of "What Hurts the Most" by Rascal Flatts. Allison's outfit distracted the judges so much they barely talked about anything else.

The TCA fun continued with the CW, Showtime and CBS stars kicking things off on Friday night at Boulevard 3. After hearing the exciting news that Shannen Doherty is returning to 90210, the new cast members kept things young and fresh posing together for the cameras. Emmy nominee Neil Patrick Harris is always a treat to spot, while Mary-Louise Parker spent the night close to her Weeds costar Justin Kirk in her cabana — possibly in an attempt to avoid an awkward run-in with her ex.
