Flying the friendly skies just got a bit less burdensome for expectant women. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has revised its recommendations regarding pregnancy and travel by air, deeming it safe for women who are not considered high-risk. According to the new recommendations:
Since 2001, "a number of observational studies have been published confirming that air travel is generally safe during an uncomplicated pregnancy.

It seems like there is always a new excuse to treat yourself, and the new trend for expecting couples is to go on a baby-moon — you know, the last time to vacation with your honey before the baby comes! I'm all for living the good life and spending quality time to romance your special someone, but a baby-moon just seems like an excuse to go on an extravagant vacation. Though I'm not a mom myself, I do understand how a couples relationship, and life for that matter, completely changes after a baby.

My husband and I took a little "babymoon" to Hawaii last week for some quality time before our lives change forever in February. It was really nice to relax together and gave me a chance to show off my baby bump on the beach!

Pregnancy turned me into a klutz. I guess I should have expected as much. As fingers swell and ankles balloon, it makes sense that agility would take a nosedive.
