Every mom has an ace in her pocket. When all else fails, we all have a secret weapon we turn to for curing an uncooperative tot. For my daughter it was Elmo; anything and everything red and furry would usually stop her mid-tantrum and return a sweet smile to her face.

Autism is a disorder of neural development that is characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior. These signs all begin before a child is three years old. Autism involves many parts of the brain; how this occurs is not well understood.

My almost 2 yr old daughter is sick, and I'm sick too so I don't have my usual patience with her.
She is an already picky eater and I can't get her to eat anything... Except cookies!!!

I’ve always considered Brad Pitt a pretty down to earth celeb, everything considered. Or if not down to earth, a really nice celeb. Not the kind to throw ridiculous hissy fits.

What parent hasn't used candy to pacify a cranky child or head off a brewing tantrum? When reasoning, threats and time-outs fail, a sugary treat often does the trick. But while that chocolate-covered balm may be highly effective in the short term, say British scientists, it may be setting youngsters up for problem behavior later.

I'm 21.I've been with my boyfriend since I was 17,this is my first rs..and now i'm telling myself to leave, but I don't know if my reasons for doing so is right..I love him and we have so much in common..although at the start of the rs, we had pobs coz he still spent time with a girl, who used to like him(and confessed, n asked if they could be more than friends)..he didnt stop spending time with her, or reassure me much other than saying he's not in the wrg..i hang on cause in other aspects he is great, he is gentle, funny n loving..but i think that period of pobs caused a deep scar in our rs,cause to me, I had to understand HIM, he cudnt at least distance himself away alittle bit and spend time with me..we didnt have much time togt because of sch..and i felt horrible that she was in his class, in his group projects..but me..a few hours after sch..tings changed after graduation..n they became distant but he still kept in touch with many of his frens, no pob with tat..but again, i felt tat we had so little time togt(we both started working)..but u don't miss me.u want them..i talked to him abt tis( tis is another ting gd abt him, we can talk)..n he always say all tos sweet words, but soon, he'll be out on a road-trip with them on wkends..mm..i think love is more than jus words..now, things are messed up because of sch n work life..he picks quarels with me when his stressed up, i calm him down eventho i feel like why can't he be a man n deal with his pob n not waste time picking on me? i feel like im with a baby, always complaining of his pobs and expect me to just be patient with his tantrums..when i explode n tell him off to grow up, he will say things like, what abt the time i was there wen ur down..yes,i have lost my temper, but i feel it's not this often or tis negative..and i feel, he's the man,he should be stronger..n be gentler wit me..everytime i say we end the rs, i be the 1st one to contact him n make tings better, i cant control myself, i'm afraid that he is my soulmate, what if i'm being petty or immature that I want to end the rs? am i?

CHICAGO – Depression in children as young as 3 is real and not just a passing grumpy mood, according to provocative new research.
The study is billed as the first to show major depression can be chronic even in very young children, contrary to the stereotype of the happy-go-lucky preschooler.
Until fairly recently, "people really haven't paid much attention to depressive disorders in children under the age of 6," said lead author Dr.
