Usually in the Snack Attack Group, we share fab, quick and easy (and healthy) snack ideas. This is more of a concept than a recipe, but I thought it fits the group nonetheless. I never know what to eat exactly after a workout... I tend to just let my stomach growl and then eat a ton later on. Not a good idea, folks!

I build chocolate (1 1/2 oz. extra dark!)into every day. I have to or I'd go "mad."

Yummy!
I don't know about you but I love having some healthy snacks on hand.
Super Baby Food – Ruth Yaron
1.5 cups rolled oats
¼ cup wheat germ
¼ cup ground nuts (I grounded almonds)
¼ cup nonfat dairy milk
½ cup dried fruit
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 beaten egg
¼ cup melted butter or oil
5 tablespoons of honey (I oiled spoon first and honey slid off)
¼ tsp vanilla
Mix all dry ingredients.

Supermarkets everywhere are being invaded by the 100-calorie snack packs. Kraft really started the wave with its little packs of Wheat Thins and pretzels and such. And now Kellogg's and Frito-Lay and everybody else is getting in on the act.

Lotte, you may heard of this brand but not many of us know all its products. You may want to go to the Lotte Website and view the products. It's almost a hundred or even thousands.

Whenever I was needing a snack, I would always grab a cheese stick, or slap some cheese on some crackers. It was ALWAYS cheese of some kind that I went for. It was difficult at first to "recondition" myself when I was hungry for a snack and not go searching for the cheese.

Here are some other dairy-free snacks to consider:
Great appetizer: cut bell peppers into 1-1/2" pieces, spread some Tofutti brand herbed cream cheese on it and top with a piece of procuttio. Yum! You can use mushrooms, celery or cucumbers as well.

So i have decided to try the snacking diet...the one where you eat six small meals a day. Supposedly its supposed to keep your metabolism going all day and keep you from getting to hungry cause you eat every two hours. I'm hoping that it keeps me from going on crazy snack attacks at night!
