On a balmy autumn day in Vancouver, a young man is longing for a walk outside in the sunshine, and deciding against it. Far easier for him to stay in his hotel room, cocooned in five-star luxury with a mobile phone that has run out of charge, safe at least from the girls chanting his name outside. Robert Pattinson, 23 and from Barnes in southwest London, ought still to be one of Hollywood’s beautiful dreamers, moving up the ranks of movie acting, enjoying his American adventure, his guitar, his good looks.

“James Coviello was inspired by exuberant graphic patterns and the eclectic style of the early-twentieth-century arts and crafts movement,” says hairstylist Rodney Cutler, who crafted the look for Coviello’s fall 2009 show. “To complement the clothing, we created soft, beautiful waves with a strong side part to give that classic vibe.”
First, Cutler misted his Volumizing Spray onto damp hair. Next, he used a large round brush in conjunction with the Izunami Agile Hair Dryer to add volume.

Yesterday Fab posted a link to a photo of Drew Barrymore rocking a gorgeously graphic printed skirt by Gucci. Ah! But what inspiration!

This is the more clubbish version of my no-sew tee shirt skirt project. Basically I changed the tee top, the belt, the necklace and the shoes and I was ready to head out for a night on the town.
Tee: Steve & Barry's
Skirt: Hand crafted and painted by me
Belt: Target
Shoes: Steve Madden

A pulled together, fun & funky, casual look - perfect for a day of shopping or just playing around. The skirt was created as a no-sew craft project, from a vintage tee shirt purchased at a local thrift shop. In fact the entire project was originally inspired by Fab's post that focused on a Gucci skirt worn by Drew Barrymore .
