Lil boys wear tights here all the time...what's wrong with that? They're comfy and keep you warm. Socks fall off little baby feet anyways! Maybe not for a 10 year old. But for babies and toddlers it's great!

Isn't that why they make feetie pajamas? So you don't have to worry about socks falling off of tiny toes? The main purpose of tights is to cover bums under dresses and skirts not to keep feet warm. It seems silly. Besides, these are pretty ugly.

Exactly. Unless your son is wearing shorts in the winter, tights are pretty silly. And these aren't only ugly, they're horrible overpriced, especially for H&M.

tights are for under dresses and skirts. Unless you are dressing your lil man in them why would put tights on him? Its called pants.

i probably wouldnt put my son in tights, but i noticed that when he had jeans on he was chaffed btwn his legs...this would stop that.

Lots of little boy costumes come with tights. In my opinion, being so adamant against something like tights on boys without solid reasons is kind of silly and really plays into stereotyping. And no, footed sleepwear do not keep socks from falling off, its one of the major issues we always had.

My brother had tights as a baby and toddler. Even red ones : : My mom thought they were practical and kept him warm.

I don't know, it doesn't weird me out. I live in Finland and here it can get really cold at winter. With tights you don't have to worry about bare ankles showing when the socks get loose.

It could be an extra layer under pants on really cold winter days. I think it's fine. Unusual, because we never see it, but it's not such a big deal if they're gender neutral.

because its cold in some climates and not everyone blasts the heater? They work their way down and come off.. not exactly a hard concept, really.

Inside the sleeper? I've never had that happen, and I'm in a cold climate and never blast the heat, I hate even using the heat so in cold months I put it as low as possible for everyone else's comfort. The few times I've put socks on under a sleeper, they stay put better than if I'd put shoes over them. You got awfully touchy about two simple valid questions, and pretty narrow in your views of why someone might ask.

I'm ok with being accused of playing into stereotypes. I wouldn't put skirts and hairbows on my infant/toddler sons either.

I put tights on my 2 yr old son when we went sledding last winter. I put an old pair of his sisters brown tights under his snowpants, they worked great and he wasn't so bulky and padded that he couldn't move.

however, i can only imagine these underneath pants when its cold, like at a ski lodge? but if they were footless maybe as comfy lounge wear? however the tightness at the groin is a bit revealing for my taste, but then a long shirt to cover it might not look that nice either. confused!

Footed sleepwear negates the need for socks making socks falling off a non-issue.

What's the big deal? They are for warmth. I would put my son in tights and a t-shirt in the winter. (If I had a son, which I don't yet)

And I think tights are for toddlers, not older boys.

I live in Europe and everyone here puts tights on their boys, myself included. It's simply a way of keeping them warm in the winter months! I don't see why anyone would make such a big deal...

My mom gave me a pair of pants for my son that were my brother's. They were unlined and itchy and I asked how my brother ever wore them. She said she put my old tights on him under the pants and they kept him warm. I never would have thought of that (nor did I do it), but I definitely understand the practicality of it.
