A friend of mine called the other day and divulged that her five-year-old had blackmailed her into keeping a harmless secret from her husband. Her little one returned home from his first week of kindergarten and announced that he loooooovvvvvveeeesss his new teacher. When his mommy and daddy asked why, he wouldn't say, but later decided to tell his confidential tale to his mom if she promised not to tell anyone in the world (including daddy).

Every mom has an ace in her pocket. When all else fails, we all have a secret weapon we turn to for curing an uncooperative tot. For my daughter it was Elmo; anything and everything red and furry would usually stop her mid-tantrum and return a sweet smile to her face.

Models of perfection in their diamond encrusted bikinis, lingerie ladies Alessandra Ambrosia and Heidi Klum also make pregnancy look fabulous. The latter even admits to shortening hemlines on her maternity gear to keep her leggy look alive. Either their grace and ease into motherhood inspired their cat-walking cohorts to join the mommy club or Victoria's Secret is that there's a fertility potion in the water from which they all drink.

The Obama girls' Secret Service code names have been revealed as falling in line with the long presidential family tradition of having monikers that start with the same letter. Barack and Michelle's older daughter, Malia, 10, is Radiance and her sister, Sasha, 7, is Rosebud. It's not clear what, if any, rhyme or reason there is behind the names, but if you were moving to the White House, what would be fitting code names for your children?

Hosted by Tracey Gold of former Growing Pains fame, the show gives stay-at-home moms a chance to pursue their dreams unbeknown to their families.

From breastfeeding to diaper changing, everything is a learning experience for new parents. While the trials and tribulations of having and raising the first child are no secret, many get accustomed to the routine of a first born and choose to bring another tot into the mix. While some folks find the task of juggling two little people (or eight, or 19) more difficult than just one, others feel that the second baby is a breeze compared to the first.

Pregnancy is a natural process that usually packs on the pounds. Some ladies eat for two and aren't surprised when the scale tips in a not so favorable direction while others retain water, which accounts for some of their excess weight. Depending on how much of a tracker the expectant woman is, she may choose to monitor her growing figure down to the ounce or decide to opt out of the entire process.

Last week, former fashion designer turned stay-at-home-mother of three, Adrian Stark seized the opportunity to re-enter the workforce when she was offered a job by Maria Bianca Nero.
But last night it was Jennifer Baalbergen's turn to see what she gave up when she took off her chef's hat to raise two young sons.
After heating up the kitchen at the Los Angeles eatery, Chocolat, the culinary-inclined mama was offered a job at the affluent restaurant.

Miss Piggy never let anything or anyone keep her from getting her beauty sleep. While it's tough to seriously take advice from a pig, we can't deny sleep its power as a natural enhancer. Unfortunately for many mamas, they don't saw as many logs as they'd like.
