Like many first moms, I was certain I would get my baby on a schedule right away. As soon as she made her debut, plans changed. I spoiled her -letting her fall asleep in my arms whenever she pleased and allowing her to nap as she pleased. read more. Once more, my child greeted me with a face I couldn't resist and I have failed to stick to a strict timeline. Luckily for me, my first child easily fell into her own routine, but can also roll with the flow if we need her to eat earlier or nap later. As for my lil guy, he seems to be mapping out his own agenda quite nicely though we are trying to provide more structure with him. Over the last few weeks, I have tried to let him "tell" me how I can meet his needs. So far, my five-month-old boy still takes his early bird nap, a later morning snooze and a lengthy afternoon siesta. By 6 p.m., he's ready to hit the sheets and call it a night. The toughest part of the sleep battle I am currently fighting is getting him to "like" being put in his crib with eyes wide open. Did you put your babe on a schedule? Source

What Time Does Junior Go To Bed?

Some parents are strict about putting their tots down to bed at exactly the same time every night. Others let their kids decide when it's time for lights out.

Since my babe is still a wee one, her bedtime is 7 o'clock. As she gets older, we'll push it back. But for now, I'm enjoying the few hours of adult time that hubby and I have.

My husband's favorite past time is to listen to live bands and he very much wants my company. I prefer early quite nights while the bands typically start at 10:30PM. Your husband is very lucky to have such an understanding wife! To make the late nights less daunting, make a compromise with your hubby -- as we all know, relationships are all about give and take. Grin and bare it every once in a while, but in return, let him know that you want him to spend some nights at home, relaxing with you, doing what you want to do. Perhaps you can do a little research and see if there is a different venue with similar music that has a more desirable show time. A cocktail or two will surely take the edge off and could make the noise a little more manageable -- and who knows, you might even actually enjoy yourself! Knowing that the loud nights aren't an everyday occurrence will make them much less painful for you, not to mention having something to look forward to when it's your night to make the plans. Pregnant Jennifer Garner kept her girls busy over the weekend, starting with a Saturday trip to the nail salon and a visit to a friend's birthday party yesterday. Jen's kept up a packed schedule in recent weeks and doesn't seem to be slowing down. She's been spotted all over town running errands with Seraphina and dropping Violet off at her various activities. When it came to picking up a gift for yesterday's bash, though, Jen left the shopping duties to Ben and Seraphina. Jake Gyllenhaal, wearing a Salvatore Ferragamo suit, joined his fellow jurors last night at the opening ceremony for the 62nd annual Berlin Film Festival. Jake touched down in Germany earlier this week and got a warm reception from fans and the festival's director, Dieter Kosslick. The competition officially kicked off yesterday with the world premiere of Diane Kruger's Farewell, My Queen. There are 18 films in the running this year with each hoping to take home the Golden Bear trophy for best feature. In addition to Diane's movie, Jake will also have the opportunity to judge Angelina Jolie's In the Land of Blood and Honey, which is scheduled to premiere tomorrow night.

Mistakes That Could Ruin Your Morning Workout

If you work or go to school full time, getting your sweat on in the wee hours of the morn is probably the only time you can fit it in. Kudos to you for resisting the urge to hit the snooze button and skip out. Make setting your alarm and pulling yourself out of bed worth all the effort and avoid these morning exercise mistakes.

Not eating: It's super early, but you need to eat in order to fuel your workout. Munch on something small while you're getting ready, like half a banana or half a piece of toast with a little peanut butter. You'll not only avoid the gnawing hunger pangs, but you'll also have an extra pep in your step to exercise harder or longer than you would on an empty stomach. When you get home, you can enjoy your usual breakfast, which is always something to look forward to.
Loading up on fiber: While it's important to eat a little something, you don't want to load up on bulky fiber that can make you feel too full or upset your stomach.
Not hydrating: Aside from food, you also need water. Definitely don't down half a gallon before you hit the gym because too much water can cause cramping, but make sure you sip a short glass of H2O while enjoying your small snack.
Not laying your outfit out the night before: You don't have oodles of time in the morning, so don't take away from your exercise time by scrambling to find your missing sock. Plan your outfit before you go to bed so you can just slip it on and go.

Eva Mendes Visits Ryan Gosling on Set in Thailand

Ryan Gosling has been in Thailand for the past few weeks working on Only God Forgives, and his girlfriend, Eva Mendes, flew over this week for a visit. He was spotted continuing his martial arts training at a gym on Monday, and Eva ventured out solo to get a snack yesterday. Eva has been in LA focusing on her own movie-making during the last month, but made time to keep an eye on Ryan's beloved dog George. Ryan's project sees him pairing up yet again with his Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn. Their shooting schedule means Ryan's been missing out on award season back in LA. Ryan was up for numerous awards for his acting in both Drive and George Clooney's The Ides of March, but he unfortunately missed out on nabbing a coveted nod from the Academy.

Ryan and Eva met last Summer on the set for another film, The Place Beyond the Pines. In the March issue of Marie Claire, Eva spoke for the first time about shooting alongside Ryan. She said, "He’s your dream costar. I have never felt so creatively satisfied on a film."
