Good night, sleep tight and don't let the bedbugs bite! If only getting lil ones down to dreamland was that easy! Children have a way of pushing their bedtime to the limits by thirsting for another drink, saying they need the bathroom and sweetly asking us to read "just one more book."

Lots of mothers consider feeding baby essential bonding time. Others (especially those with older children or multiples) who bottle-feed and need to be on their feet will resort to a bottle prop on occasion or routinely. Using a blanket or specific product made for the purpose the mom frees up her hands while her babe eats uninterrupted.

Among the decisions that a new mama faces is how she will feed her baby. We're not talking breast versus bottle (that debate is ongoing), but whether the baby will be fed on a schedule or on demand.
Nobody likes the sound of a crying baby and knowing that you can calm the screams by simply feeding a lil one may sound like an easy answer.

When a woman becomes a mother, she suddenly realizes what a breeze it was to run errands sans baby. What used to be a 5-minute trip to the drugstore can now take an hour depending on baby's eating, sleeping and pooping schedule. While she will snap to her new routine in no time, most mommies agree that there are quite a few things on her "to-do" list that used to be much easier, though not necessarily better, to accomplish when she was running solo.

A friend of mine called me the other evening desperate for some bedtime routine ideas. Her two-and-a-half year old son had suddenly turned his back on their nightly bath, book and bed ritual. The usually great sleeper had taken to screaming bloody murder for up to an hour and half while working himself up to a sweat.
