As I'm writing this, my boyfriend is playing
Gears of War 2 with a buddy via online co-op play. He is also wearing an
Xbox Headset so that they can communicate and strategize their mission.
So to say that my boyfriend loves GOW2 is a bit of an understatement.

When furniture designer Herman Miller sent me one of their latest and greatest creations, the
Embody Chair — which is both body and blogging friendly — I couldn't wait to see if it felt as good as it looked.
With the help of physicians and professionals in such fields like biomechanics, vision, physical therapy, and ergonomics, designers Jeff Weber and Bill Stumpf created the Embody Chair with the office worker in mind, therefore making sure it was jam-packed full of health-positive benefits.
What instantly struck me about this chair was the fact that its entire backing looks like a real spine, with vertebrates and all.

Diaper pails are hard to get excited about, until you find one that really gets the job done. The
Diaper Dékor Plus ($40) is a garbage pail that will leave any nappy slinging parent bursting with excitement (well, as much as it is possible while holding yet another soiled diaper).
This handy and compact diaper disposal system can hold around 40 diapers (if you dare) all while fighting to keep your wee one's room smelling fresh.

Having reviewed quite a few strollers last month, there were still quite a few on my list that I have been wanting to check out before making any final purchases. Silver Cross is a high end brand that has long been known for their swank prams like those that
Nicole Richie and Jennifer Lopez chose for their tots. Realizing that many more moms see the practicality of a simple stroller, the British company is now selling their own line of simple pushchairs.

Now that you've feasted your eyes on my
G1 unboxing images, it's time to show you how this handset performs with my first impressions video. Overall, I was impressed with the big responsive touchscreen, the customizable home screen, the option to scroll with either the trackpad or my finger, and the 3-megapixel cam on the back (that feels like a traditional point-and-shoot camera).

The biggest let down?

This past week, the
Michelin Guide announced its 2009 starred restaurants for
New York and
San Francisco. The Michelin Guide, Europe's best-known restaurant guide, is released annually in the form of a series of books organized by city. The red books award restaurants zero, one, two, or three stars, and the stars are arguably the most well-regarded rankings in the global restaurant industry, with three being an extraordinary honor.

As a prize for winning
Cutest Dog at the Worldwide Fido Awards, Samson (and family) got to take home a brand new vacuum: the
Bissell Pet Hair Eraser. How appropriate! Coincidentally, LilPeaPod's Dirt Devil was on the fritz, so getting this vacuum ended up being a lifesaver in more than one respect:
My trusty Dirt Devil vacuum that we've had for a few years was on its last leg.

This week rounded out our month of stroller reviews. The double strollers were a delight to test drive, especially since I'm in need of one myself. Check out my
slideshow to see which ones I reviewed this past week.
