This shot of Piper and Trig Palin is about as good as it gets. The big sister had a lil mom spit moment at the Republican convention while her mama was at the podium. Taking good care of her wee brother, the seven-year-old tamed his hair with a quick lick and slick of her hand.

As moms, when we cast our votes we cast them not only for ourselves, but for our under-aged children. John McCain made an interesting and likely calculated decision when he tapped Sarah Palin to be his running mate. The Governor of Alaska is a parent to five children aged 4 months to 19 years old — Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper, and Trig.

Christina Aguilera may not be vocalizing her support for McCain or Obama, but she is endorsing Election 2008. The songstress lent her singing abilities and her son to the "Rock the Vote" campaign. The 27-year-old mama sang, "America the Beautiful" while cradling her five-month-old, Max Bratman, for the public service announcement.

Everyone's got childhood photos that come back to haunt them. But, Casey Knowles was a television extra when some footage of her sleeping was shot. Owned by Getty Images, the clip was recently used in an ad for Hillary Clinton that featured lil ones slumbering.

Has the Hollywood baby war gone governmental? It's been widely reported that magazine covers of celebutant Nicole Richie and lil Harlow have outsold those of songstress Christina Aguilera and her infant, Max.
But, now Obama babes seem to be rocking the photographers, while Clinton children are barely getting any attention from shutterbugs?

With the Iowa caucus only two weeks away, it seems everyone is getting in a political frame of mind - including lil ones on both ends of the spectrum. Parents can declare their support by outfitting their babies in onesies, burp cloths and bibs that feature presidential hopefuls.
A recent article in the Boston Globe about this phenomenon called the clothing “just another example of the baby-as-accessory culture that's burgeoned in recent years.” But others believe it is part of their First Amendment rights to showcase their freedom of speech.
