Everyone has a vision of the perfect mom, particularly new mothers who just want to be the best for their children. I was no different when my daughter was born — I tried to juggle it all without breaking a sweat. And then my son arrived, and my life fell into perfectly magical disarray.

We wrap our children in love and in blankets. Every mother wants to find the perfect blanket to bring her infant home in, one to toss over the child to ward off a chill when they nap and another that the tot finds security or a familiar scent in. There are tons of throws and snugglies on the market, but over the years we (and our kiddos) have put many to the test and now we bring you the six very best.

All moms have secrets, but do mothers of multiple children have more? Once a woman has a few kids, she knows the perfect mother doesn't exist and that enables her to improvise in lots of different situations. As long as the kids are happy — right?

A mother, a father, a son, and a daughter — what could be better? Hollywood's picture of the perfect family usually involves one child of each gender. Television and movies often perpetuate the image — you have Brenda and Brandon from the original 90210, Serena and Eric on Gossip Girl, and Ross and Monica on Friends.

An offspring of two famous rockers, Frances Bean Cobain has grown up in the spotlight and experienced a roller-coaster life. She grew up without a father, Kurt Cobain, and her mother, Courtney Love, seems to have a magnetic pull to trouble. A seemingly mature and smart young lady, it's hard to imagine the 17-year-old needs much supervision, but it is actually she who prefers to live with her grandmother.
