Granted, Great Britain isn't sunny, warm or sandal-friendly for most of the year, but having beautiful feet are a fetish of mine. I feel instantly more feminine after getting my feet scrubbed, buffed, smoothed and my toes polished in a pretty shade.
On average, I get a pedicure about every three weeks.

Oh, look out! These boots might look like Uggs, but they're
Bootie Pies ($128), a style of boot designed particularly for winter pedicures. The idea is to slip your pre-polished feet into the boots, then push the front flap down when it's time for lacquer application.

Hey, have you heard? We're in an economic crisis. Since everyone's watching her dollars, I present a new feature: Splurge of the Week.

By now, you have likely heard about
the fish pedicure being performed by a Virgina salon (since getting so much press, it is now being offered in other salons, including one in central Ohio). Toothless carp eat the dead skin off your feet, which, according to much of the coverage, is "natural" and "perfectly healthy." But according to

Over the years, I've noticed that the sand and sea tend to deteriorate my pedicures more quickly than just about anything else. That's why I love this easy-to-achieve quick and
simple pedicure that can be done in about ten minutes flat. It's easy to master, so it can keep your feet looking groomed all summer long.

Let's say, hypothetically, that you're a hypochondriac who lives in fear of
nail fungus. And hypothetically, you thought you might have it, so you feverishly sought out home remedies. But as it turned out, you didn't have fungus, but one of the cures made your toenails look healthier and more foot-modelesque.

Sandals mean pedicures and why not get your fingernails done too. They are good for the
health of your nails, both on your fingers and toes. There are a few health concerns with going to a salon for your mani pedis and HIV is one of them.

For the last month of my pregnancy, I went to the nail salon weekly to pamper my fingers and toes.
In the delivery room, my nails looked so fabulous that the nurses kept complimenting me on them. And, it was nice to have manicured nails for all of the photo ops that came with having a new babe.

I just came across these
Pedisavers pedicure socks ($16–$20), and I can't stop giggling. The idea is that you put them on before applying polish, so that you keep your legs and feet warm. Additionally, these socks eliminate the need for toe separators.
