As parents we stress about how the examples we set shape our children's habits, and health and beauty routines are no exception. We may ponder whether pampering sends the right message, but for better or worse it is rooted in our culture's gender stereotypes. Madonna's mini-me, daughter Lourdes Leon, is known to express herself with dark polish and even little Suri Cruise has been spotted flaunting red nails while shopping with her mom, Katie Holmes. Suri Cruise was spotted out and about with some fancy finger paint. The sassy 2-year-old flaunted some red nails while shopping with her mom, Katie Holmes, at Bonpoint Boutique in New York. Lourdes Leon: Expresses Herself With Dark Nail Polish

Madonna's mini me, daughter Lourdes Leon recently took a break from her brothers, Rocco and David and got girly at a Beverly Hills beauty parlor.

The dark haired preteen seemed to enjoy the perks of being a material girl as she indulged in a mani-pedi. And, wearing a skull hair band and black leggings, the eleven-year-old opted for dark polish to finish off her look.

These days tons of tots are primping since some businesses cater to child clientele. Lil ladies and gents as young as two are heading to salons to get their nails filed or painted.

Moses Martin Is Gwyneth Paltrow's Lil Critic

If your tot has ever thrown a fit as you've headed out the door, Gwyneth Paltrow can relate. The Oscar winning mama to two, Apple, 4, and Moses, 2, had a harried experience with her lil man prior to the premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor. The glamorous actress chatted about the incident. A People report said:

“It was hectic getting ready. We just flew in yesterday for this. And my kids are really jetlagged. And my son had a meltdown. But we got out the door,” although not without a struggle. “He was very upset by these hair clips they put in to keep your hair back when you’re getting your makeup done,” she explained. “He hated them. He was livid. But I’m here. I made it.” So did Moses have an opinion about the dress? “He did not like it,” said Paltrow. “He’s very specific. My daughter really liked it. She also chose my nail polish color.”

It seems like Moses, who will be three in a couple of weeks, already has definite opinions on things.

Mom-Me Time: Citibabes

New York seems to reign superior when it comes to things that are hip and cool. And, they've done it again with an amazingly convenient and luxurious club for moms, Citibabes. Started by two women, Tracey Rensky and Tara Lipton, the club opened a little over two years ago in downtown Manhattan. And, it has been hugely popular - currently has over 500 members. The membership is a whopping $2,000 a year but apparently it's worth every penny.

Moms and dads can drop off children ages three months to five years, for some babysitting which is only $8 an hour, while they relax in the club's lounge, workout, get a mani-pedi or their hair blown out. The caregivers at the club have been background checked extensively so the parents can rest assured that their lil one is in good hands.

Some of the amenities that are included in the Citibabes membership are:

Access to the Citibabes store, which is stocked with adorable kids clothes.
A workout facility with adult fitness classes and cardio equipment.
An unbelievably cute indoor playground, which is especially nice for rainy, snowy, or cold days.

Lounge and Concierge services to help families find a nanny or plan a party.
