There's no doubt about it this was a year of Jon and Kate Gosselin headlines. The series finale of the couple's show, Jon and Kate Plus 8, aired in November 2009 after five seasons on TLC and showcased the separated couple striving to be strong single parents. While this past year has been filled with loud magazine covers and speculation about the famous family the show went out on a high note - reminding viewers at the end of the day, it was about the great eight kids Jon and Kate had together.

It's the moment 67 percent of LilSugar readers have been waiting for - the end of Jon and Kate Plus 8. While loyal fans are saddened to see the show come to an end, others believe it's the best outcome for their children. On the series finale (airing tonight on TLC), the separated couple continues to find their way in single parenting. Kate takes the kiddos to a dairy farm while papa Jon shows them the ladder at a local fire station. It has been fun watching the eight youngsters laugh, grow, and play together but we trust they will be fine when the camera's red light dims for good.

Reality TV kiddos are in the news once again as Jackson children may or may not be hitting the small screen in A&E's new reality series, The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty. From the Duggars to the Gosselins, we've all witnessed that the hype and extra cash that accompanies being in the public eye can be both a blessing and a curse. Despite it all, new shows are always popping up featuring young children whose parents are willing to take the risk in exchange for a wee TV career.

Many LilSugar readers already blog about their tot on the Internet, but would you take it a step further and put your child on TV?

It's Time to Bid Adieu to Jon, Kate, and Their 8

Turn out the lights . . . the party's over. The reality show that once focused on a fun-loving and wildly entertaining family is coming to a halt. Jon and Kate Plus 8 captured the hearts of viewers (including our own) all over the country. The adorable children and their parents made the TLC show a hit, but it was the parent's marital demise that made it a phenomenon. While many couples could relate to their bickering, it got to be too much for the Gosselins themselves and eventually led to the announcement of their separation and divorce. As it often happens, things have turned sour and until the two can reconcile differences and iron matters out privately, TLC is turning off the cameras and refusing to air anymore dirty laundry . . . literally.

Perhaps the lack of camera crews will allow the family to focus on what is important and bring some sanity, or at least normalcy, to the wee ones' lives. While 63 percent of LilSugar readers believed the show should be canceled, will you be sad to see it go?
