Kate Beckinsale Tells Conan She Loves Penis Jokes

Something about Kate Beckinsale, maybe her proper British accent and mom status, gave us the impression that she's not a fan of dirty jokes - but boy were we wrong! On Conan last night, she addressed Seth Rogen's erection joke at the Golden Globes by saying that she loves penis jokes and getting a jab in about Seth's, ahem, size. But then she took it even further by explaining that joking about genitals runs in the family (even her 13-year-old daughter gets in on the fun), and sharing a hilarious story about a giant fake penis she hid in her mom's luggage en route to the airport. Lots of moms like to think out loud, and CherylDee is one of them. Here is one of the latest posts to her Lipsticks to Baby Bottles blog.

Prior to having Kiara, I always wondered why parents were lugging around this huge bag on top of having to push a stroller with a baby. I thought, "Seriously? Aren't you carrying just a little too much?" Boy was I wrong! Now that I have a child, I can totally relate! I always pack spares now. I learned my lesson! You never know when your child might dirty themselves. And trust me, it always happens!

So here's how my diaper bag looks. (Thank you mum for giving it to me!) It's from Kipling. It also comes with a changing pad too! It's funny because my step dad actually bought that bag for my mum without realizing that it was a diaper bag. She likes big chunky bags that's why!

The inner organizer piece that holds everything in place can be taken out, but I like that it has extra pockets to store other things like extra clothes, burp cloths, pacifier and bottle nipple wipes etc. The side pockets are the perfect size to put in our nappy cream as well as the milk powder storage container! Love it! Now that Kiara takes solids, I also carry her food in a container which fits perfectly in it too.

Here's my list of items I have in my diaper bag:

6 pieces of nappies
Huggies Wet Wipes
2 bottles (1 for Milk, 1 for Juice) + Bottel warmer holder
4 extra pairs of onesies
Pacifier & Nipple wipes
Nappy Cream
Disinfectant spray
Yu Yee Oil (Cap Limau) or Minyak Telon in Lavender (This works wonders for wind! I always put it on her tummy!)
Pacifier
Toys! Lots of Toys!

The Ides of March: Victory, but Not a Landslide

George Clooney takes the director's chair for political drama The Ides of March, which he also stars in as Pennsylvania governor and presidential hopeful Mike Morris. The real star of the film is Ryan Gosling, though, as a crackerjack strategist working on Morris's campaign during the Democratic primary. With that kind of star power behind and in front of the camera, I was expecting an immaculately crafted thriller, but The Ides of March doesn't live up to its potential.

The premise is as promising as Morris's Obama-esque campaign posters: Stephen (Gosling) is a key part of Morris's bid for a presidential nomination, not just for his savvy but for his optimism and belief in the candidate. When Stephen discovers a sticky situation the governor is involved in, he has to decide his next move. At the same time, he's being courted by a rival campaign, which also challenges his loyalty to Morris.

As Stephen transforms from an idealistic employee into a jaded cog in the machine, his trajectory is engaging, but could be more riveting. Though the plot keeps you intrigued long enough to find out what happens to the characters, there's not enough background or development to make you care about any of them. Grey's Anatomy Rundown, "What Is It About Men"

Let's hear it for the boys! The ladies of Seattle Grace are MIA, allowing this week's episode of Grey's Anatomy to focus solely on the menfolk. Each of the male surgeons is dealing with some feelings of anger, whether it be in their career or personal life - but, as the episode tells us, that doesn't mean they want to talk about it. Ultimately, Derek signs up all of his colleagues for his house-building anger management program, and helps the guys hammer out their problems. Literally.

There are bromance troubles brewing with the patients too, as the latest disaster to hit Seattle involves a freak accident at a local comic book convention. The Hangover Part II: A Less Funny Morning After

The expectations for the sequel to The Hangover really couldn't have been higher, considering how beloved the original is. Before you see the film, I advise that you severely lower the bar for The Hangover Part II, because it is, unfortunately, a shadow of its predecessor. In the second film, Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Doug (Justin Bartha) and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) are headed to a wedding and want to have one last bachelor party hurrah before one of them gets married. Sound familiar? It should. The plot is exactly the same as the first movie.

Sure, there are some tweaks. This time, it's Stu that's getting married, and the boys are all headed to Thailand for the event. When the guys decide to have a low-key night before the wedding, they toast their beer bottles . . . and then wake up the next morning in Bangkok with absolutely no memory of the previous evening. They spend the rest of the movie piecing together the details of the night so they can locate a missing member of their group.

The Hangover Part II is a retread that's so close to the original, you wonder if the writers doubted its audience's intelligence or were just too lazy to come up with something new. Either way, the movie and its signature wolf pack still get laughs, but it's lacking the magic that made the original Hangover an instant classic. To see what else I thought, just

read more. I was eager to see the wolf pack reunite, but it would have been nice to see some character development. Instead, the sequel only exaggerates the personalities of the men. Phil is more obnoxious, Alan is even more awkward and eccentric, and so on. Chow (Ken Jeong) is the only character that's more entertaining the second time around. More of a friend than villain in this film, Jeong mercilessly steals every scene he's in. With everyone else stuck in the same mold, Jeong's distinction and nonchalant comedic performance make him the standout. One way The Hangover Part II surpasses the first film is in the gross-out humor. Clearly the filmmakers felt pressure to top themselves, and in the sequel they succeed to the point of discomfort. That dirty feeling is pervasive. Where the first film was a bit dark, it was also balanced with some lightness - the guys could at least laugh a little about their antics. But in Part II, the more we learn about what they got up to the night before, the less we want to know. You feel as filthy as they do, and the grimy backdrop of Bangkok's more depraved establishments contributes to that effect. The setting, the repercussions of the night before, and the stakes of the missing person all plunge you into a movie that doesn't always feel like a comedy. Everything gets worse before it gets better, and the "better" part, the ending, still left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Ultimately, it's just another sequel that tries for its predecessor's greatness and falls far short.

Girls Meet Boys in Band Of Outsiders's Beauty Look

A single look for a fashion show? Not for Band of Outsiders, where there were three beauty concepts: boy-boy, boy-girl and girl-girl. The boy-boys (who were actual dudes, we know this kind of gender-bender terminology gets confusing) donned their natural hair texture, the boy-girls wore long, side-parted side-braids, and the girl-girls boasted amped-up voluminous curls. Danny McBride on Talking Dirty to Natalie Portman, Your Highness, and Being a True Southern Gentleman

Danny McBride cowrote and costars in the medieval comedy Your Highness, which hits theaters on April 8. The actor plays the massively lazy Prince Thadeous to James Franco's Prince Fabius. When Fabius's fiancée is kidnapped, Thadeous is forced to go along on the wild ride to rescue her. Along the way, the bros encounter pervy old wizards, fierce female warriors, and even a fabled minotaur. Danny reunited with James in Beverly Hills for the movie's press day recently to talk about getting crude with Natalie Portman, working with Pineapple Express director David Gordon Green again, and which moments had him cracking up on set. Here are some highlights:

On the hardest scene to shoot: "You know, surprisingly the scene that I couldn't get through was the scene I had to do with Natalie where we're sitting at this table in this tavern, and I have to confront her about stealing this compass. And the way David Gordon Green directs, he is literally right out of frame of the camera. And he stands there and makes you say the most ridiculous things, and you can't really hesitate. You just have to keep going through with it. And in the scene, he's just like, 'Call her a bully and a whore!' And so I just started doing it without thinking about it, and as soon as I looked at Natalie and the word 'whore' came out, it just felt horrible, and I couldn't get through it. I just kept doing it over and over. That weirdly, was the hardest thing."
On getting Natalie on board for the film: "David had been in talks with Natalie about another project . . and in his conversations with Natalie, she kind of brought up this project and said she was dying to do a comedy and really wanted a chance to work with us. We were thrilled by that, because having actors like James and Natalie - to us, that's what separates this movie. It's not a movie that's just filled with your typical comedians as cast, but with a lot of prestigious actors. And I honestly was really embarrassed to hand Natalie the script for the first time. I was like, 'Should I just go through and take out all this dirty stuff?' I'm nervous to show her this, and David's like, 'No. We gotta let her know what she's in for.' And she was a total champ. The stuff I thought would make her blush, that's the stuff she thought was funny, and totally embraced it. And on the set she never shied away from that stuff. She could definitely hang with the boys. She wasn't intimidated by any of it."

On how he's different from his on-screen characters: "Well, despite how I may come across on screen, my act is pretty clean. I tend to play it clean. And I got married last October, and so I have cleaned my act up. I was born in the South and raised to respect ladies and be a gentleman, so that's something that's always been important to me."
On the movies that sparked the idea for Your Highness: "David Green and myself went to film school together, and I was a freshman and he was in his second year of film school, and we both lived in the same dorm, and I met him the first week I started going to school there. And you know, when you go to film school, you've got all these guys who are trying to show everyone how smart they are, and they're bringing forward all the pretentious art-y films because they think those are the movies you have to like if you're going to film school and one of the things that David and I instantly clicked on was, we appreciate those films, but at the same time, appreciated movies like [fantasy films] Beastmaster and Krull and Dragonslayer and these fun movies that capture your imagination when you're a kid. So it was awesome being able to make one of those movies, and it just gave me a very good excuse to my wife of why I needed to be watching Krull on repeat all the time. 'Cause I really couldn't have gotten away with it unless I was getting paid for it, so it was a selfish reason to make this film."
On talking people into making the movie: "You know, the first day we came in and pitched it, we pitched it as Krull meets Barry Lyndon. And the executives were like, 'Never pitch this movie like that ever again.' But to us, that's what it was. We wanted to take it and approach it as a serious drama but at the same time, have that fun that we had with Krull, and you know, that was always the concept. That's what was interesting about being on this project, is like, can you make a legitimate fantasy movie like this and still find a way to find comedy without making it a spoof. And that was I think that's what interested me in creating it from the beginning. This was - this will be something interesting to try."

Alia Shawkat on Touching Ed Helms Inappropriately and Hoping For an Arrested Development Sex Change

Alia Shawkat swung through NYC this week on a busy press tour for her new movie Cedar Rapids, which we previewed last month at Sundance. She plays Bree, a prostitute who enjoys a sordid entanglement with Ed Helms's straight-laced insurance salesman character, in the film directed by Youth in Revolt's Miguel Arteta. Shawkat talked about getting up close and personal with Helms and also addressed the long-running rumors about an Arrested Development movie that have regained steam after the series' creator, Mitch Hurwitz, confirmed his involvement. She also had some interesting ideas for her character, Maeby. Check it out.

BuzzSugar: In this film, you're playing a prostitute, which is new territory for you. What drew you to this role?
Alia Shawkat: "I got a call from [Miguel, the director] and he was like, 'Alia, I want you to play a prostitute!' And I was like, 'Ok!' And it kind of went from there. . . She’s a hooker with a heart of gold so it was fun. I got to do some research - not go out on the street! - but watch films with hookers with hearts of gold. And I got to say some weird dirty things.

BS: You also got to do some crazy things. Was that another perk to this role?
AS: Doing the meth and dancing, and doing real meth - no we didn’t do that! It was really fun. That’s what’s so cool about being an actor, you get to live so many different lives. This one upped every character I’ve ever played.

BS: You and Anne Heche were pretty much the main ladies in the film. Did you two take on the boys comedian club together?
AS: I’m used to being around a lot of male comedians, so it is kind of like a boys club in that you have to sort of earn your say. But after they started hanging out with us for a little while and they see we aren’t just like, 'Oh, tee hee that’s funny!' that we’re funnier than them sometimes, then they start to respect us. They’re all very sweet guys, most comedians are. They’re just a little pervvy.

BS: And of course, the leading man was Ed Helms. How was it working with him?
AS: I was expecting Ed to be a lot dirtier in comparison to some of the other comedians I’ve worked with, that are usually pretty dirty. But he’s such a gentleman, an old Southern boy. He's very polite and respectful with women.

AS: I remember one scene in the bathroom, Miguel would sometimes tell one of the actors, ‘Surprise me and do something!’ He told me, ‘I want you to surprise me and surprise Ed.' . . So we’re in the bathroom, and you don’t see me - just the back of my head, and I grabbed his crotch, like grabbed it tight, and he’s supposed to be on meth and he got this amazing look on his face. And afterward he was so pink and blushed, and he was like, ‘I didn’t know you were going to do that! I didn’t know you were going to do that!’ And was all giggly. BS: Everyone of course wants to know about the Arrested Development movie now that Mitch Hurwitz said it's on. What can you say about that? AS: I think it’s very exciting that he said it publicly! It would be great I think it's still kind of in the limbo of we’re in the dark still. But all the cast members, everyone I’ve seen recently, said we’re in! We haven't been sent a script or anything cause he’s still working on it. It’s pretty much the same thing, we just hope it happens but we’ll see when it comes to fruition. But hopefully it’s soon. That was kind of a nice thing, his saying it’s coming out soon. Once we read it I think everyone’s going to be in. BS: Are you looking forward to all the changes for the characters? AS: That’s the weirdest thing, and something that’s so exciting about the prospect of a movie. Every episode we had no idea what would happen to the characters. Week to week we’d be like, ‘What the shit do I have to do? Ok, whatever!’ And now that so much time has passed, and so much is going to already have happened to the characters, they’re going to have to kind of explain where they are at. I have no idea what to expect, and that’s what’ so exciting about it. Unlike any other writer, Mitch is just so out there that it’s thrilling and exciting to see what will happen. BS: Anything you're really looking forward to finding out? AS: Of course, because I’m egotistical, I’m just so looking forward to seeing where Maeby and George Michael’s relationship ends up. Because now that they’re kind of adults, how they relate to each other or if they’re together or if they’re not, it could be anything. BS: What would your dream for Maeby be? AS: My dream? I don’t know. It could be cool to do something fun, like if she got a sex change or something. BS: And you've worked with so many great comedians already - any one left on the list? AS: Everybody! I’d love to work with Bill Murray. That would be really fun. I don’t know if he’d like me very much. Gary Shandling, I don’t know if he’s doing a whole love of movies now, but The Larry Sanders Show was one of my favorite shows.
