Eva Longoria's a Gambling Not Desperate Housewife

Eva Longoria was back on the set of Desperate Housewives yesterday showing off more of that hot wardrobe she sounded so excited about. While we know what to expect from her character's look this season, everyone's still wondering about Eva's real life family including DH creator Mark Cherry who says she's "desperately trying to get pregnant." Eva is busy enough as is - for example this week alone she already hosted an event in Vegas with Tony Saturday, a charity dinner at Beso on Sunday, and then her celebrity BFFs the Beckhams and the Beckinsale Wisemans on Monday - sounds like her plate may be even more full with what's to come.

Gaby Gets Desperate While Eva Is Tony's Housewife

Eva Longoria was looking a little unpolished yesterday, but don't worry - it's just a part of Gaby's new look in the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives. Eva smiled and joked around with her on-screen hubby Ricardo Chavira and co-star Shawn Pyfrom while filming the show in LA. While we wait for the ladies of Wisteria Lane to come back in the Fall, in an interview with Latina magazine, Eva admitted that she herself enjoys playing housewife to Tony and more. Here's more:

On her marriage with Tony: "The wedding was absolutely magical. I wish I could have a wedding every year . . . I'm a 1950s housewife. I love baking. I love sewing. Being home with Tony. My mother was like that. Always took care of her husband. I always admired and wanted to do that . . . I make everything. His favorite dish is lemon pepper chicken with a lemon pasta sauce that I make. He could eat that everyday. I'm a big cook."
On her childhood: "We weren't allowed to eat out. My dad refused to let us eat at restaurants or fast food. Our big treat was Domino's pizza. We would sneak out and go get pizza . . . I paid for my cheerleading and everything [by working at Wendy's for six years]. It was like whatever you want to do outside of school, you have to pay for it. I never had a car because I was always trying to save."

On beginning her career: "I love pageants. In Texas, it's like the culture. If you're a woman, you have to do pageants. If you're a boy, you have to be a football player. In my pageant package, I won a trip to Hollywood to compete in a talent competition. And I said, I'm going to go. It would be fun to go for a week to Hollywood. So I came, and I never went home. I fell in love with L.A. I happened to become an actor and it was really all so fast. I didn't even go home to pack. I had my mom send my clothes. I never went back. "

Even if she can often be a bit much, sometimes we can't help but be won over by this former beauty queen's endearing quotes.

Eva's Tony Would Rather Show His Support From the Sidelines

Only Desperate Housewives' Gabrielle Solis would dare head to the grocery store in this little turquoise number, which means the show is officially filming new episodes again in Los Angeles. Eva has been pulling double duty with her TV role and restaurant lately, and it must be hard to spend so much time away from her man. As it turns out, Tony isn't big on the Hollywood lifestyle and according to one source, "he's not unsupportive, just uncomfortable in the show-biz environment." Hard to believe coming from such a big sports star, but luckily Eva seems to do just fine partying it up with her other friends and co-workers.

It's Season Four, but Marcia's No Desperate Housewife

Marcia Cross took a break from filming Desperate Housewives this week to take her adorable girls, Eden and Savannah, for a walk with their nannies. The girls are back on Wisteria Lane tonight and between Edie's suicide attempt, Lynette's cancer battle and Gabrielle's tryst with Carlos we can't wait to see what happens. Teri's Not Desperate For Party Companions

Last night it was all about Teri Hatcher at the party celebrating her new Badgley Mischka campaign in West Hollywood. I'm certainly no Teri fan (though I think she's a big enough fan of herself for the both of us), but it's fun to see her costars Felicity Huffman and new on screen hubby James Denton by her side. Stacy Keibler loves a good party as does Brittany Snow, who looked cute, but a little more reserved than this weekend's HOT FUCHSIA number. Eva and Tony Take Their Love Around Town

Newlyweds Eva and Tony took a stroll through Beverly Hills this weekend. Now that the wedding and honeymoon are over, they have time to focus on the more important things, like eating ice cream. It's also back to work for Eva; the new bride returned to the set of Desperate Housewives on Monday. Eva's rep had this to say about her returning to work after a relaxing honeymoon:

"It was just her and Tony. They had a private villa. She's completely relaxed and rejuvenated. She had a full week alone with Tony to decompress. It was the perfect balance to gear up for Season 4. So she's really excited. She wasn't dreading work at all."

As this little trip to the ice cream store implies, she's also returning to giving herself a little break now and then. From the looks of her pre-wedding diet, Eva probably didn't get to indulge in very many treats. All her hard work paid off, but it looks like she may have taken it a little overboard. Hopefully now that the stressful part is over, she and Tony can just relax and enjoy being married and getting back to their normal day-to-day life.

Eva Spikes For Hope

Eva may play a diva on Desperate Housewives (Did you see last night's season finale?), but she showed her off-screen athleticism this weekend at the "Spike For Hope" Celebrity Charity Volleyball Tournament. The tournament raised funds for PADRES Contra El Cancer, a charity for which Eva is the national spokesperson. She has admitted to being a tomboy back in the day, but apparently volleyball isn't her sport of choice. When asked if she's a volleyball player, she said, "No, I'm not. Tony is, but that's because he's 6'3". He was like, 'Babe, you better not stink.' "I like any sport. I'm not a volleyball player, per se, but I'm definitely a competitive person."

Speaking of Tony, apparently the couple will not be spending a long romantic getaway in Paris after their wedding in July. The actress has to get back to the US to start shooting Desperate Housewives on July 9th. Looks like Tony and Eva will have to wait a bit for their honeymoon.

Eva Plays Wife While Preparing to Become One

Eva Longoria is still busy shooting Desperate Housewives (that show is still on? Who knew? I probably should've), but you gotta believe that wedding planning is on the mind with her July 7th nuptials rapidly approaching. The question on everyone's mind seems to be who is going to design the dress. Yay, Wedding Dress! Rumor has it that Eva is going with "it" designer Monique Lhuillier. Here's more:

Despite previous reports to the contrary, Lhuillier says Longoria's big day is still in the early planning stages and nothing is definite. "We're talking but nothing's confirmed," the designer told Usmagazine.com at her show at New York Fashion Week. "We're friends."

Ah, the old "we're friends" excuse, eh Monique? Sounds like they're totally dating. Or, you know, one is designing the other a wedding dress. Either way.

Felicity Shows off her New Book

Felicity Huffman is not stopping at being just an actress. The award winning actress is now an author as well. She got a lot of support from the other DH while out promoting her new book A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend in LA at Iconology. The ladies look like they're having a fabulous time off the DH set with their cosmos. The book is full of tips on relationships for both men and women. Here's more:

Writing which chapters cracked you two up the most?" 'Sex' and 'All Women are Crazy.' "
The handbook describes some really bad male behavior. Fact or fiction?"Every example we used is true but the names have been changed to protect the innocent. We both included ex-boyfriend horror stories."
You're married to actor William H. Macy. Did he ask you to take stuff out?"Yes! He thought some of the sexual overtones were too shocking.
